Question on Gimme Brow recall

I saw a post regarding this yesterday and immediately sent out an email to customer service for more information. I understand that Sephora is a huge store and all but I got an automated email which had nothing to do with my question. Can someone from customer service please get back to me with clear information? I have only seen that one post and it didn't have much information other than that subscriber getting a refund.. which I am not asking for. I truly just want a clear explanation as to why it's being recalled and what I should do with it because I have used it a few times.

I was sooooo surprised this weekend when I mentioned it to one of the associates at the store and she (nor her colleagues) had a clue what I was talking about.  They were still offering it as one of the rewards.

Could you please message me as well. The benefit website says to return it to where we bought it for a full refund. However I own a LOT of them, about 5 or 6 that fall in the contaminated time line. Is sephora going to give me grief about it?

Wow. I am JUST now finding out about this ONLY because I came to see the sneak peek for this month!  I’ve been using this stuff my skin seems to have reaction to it .... is this why??  A recall bc why? And why the heck weren’t WE informed AND refunded etc???!!!!!!  Extremely upset with this. Anybody have good contact number?

RIGHT?! The benefit website says to return where purchased for a full refund. I expect that to happen.

I have to say that I am really irritated with how Sephora is handling the situation, and if I hadn't joined the Insider community, I would've never known about the recall!

 

For instances of how it was mishandled, it seems like Sephora's responses were all over the place.

1. They should've sent an email letting customers know about the recall.

2. Multiple customers had different responses from Sephora: some had their bag cost refunded for the month, some had 450 points added to their accounts, some had other amounts, some had both. I was offered 100 points, no refund, and it was quick and no real response by the employee.

3. I am disappointed by how it was handled in general. Especially since I didn't use the product because it smelled very yeasty when I opened it, and now I am glad that I didn't use it because I do have sensitive eyes. I would not put it in my eyes, obviously, but when I remove my eye makeup there's always the chance. 

 

I think I will contact Sephora via email, and share the different responses to customers and possibly recommend that it all be handled the same way, because now I am irritated that we all got different responses.

Yeah I think it's shocking if Sephora has our order info and sees that we've ordered that product or received it in a box that they are not informing customers.

Maybe something with the ingredients because when I first opened it I thought it smelled bad. I had never used it before so wasn’t sure if that was normal. But I didn’t even think to email them! I guess I should after seeing this.

What the heck. I only got 100 points and no refund. I don’t really care that I didn’t get a refund but the inconsistencies are unfair.

They only gave me 200, no refund!! So inconsistent.

Call customer service. It’s instant gratification because they will help immediately. I always call when there’s an issue because I have no patience to wait for a reply email lol. You should be able to get a full refund because of the recall. I saw this on the too faced website yesterday. It stated to bring in your mascara to the store where it was purchased for a full refund. Hope this helps.
