PLAY! by SEPHORA Invitation FAQs

PLAY! by SEPHORA has some exciting news to share with you. Starting in May 2016, we’re expanding PLAY! to the lower 48 states and giving our PLAY! boxes a makeover!

 

For those of you already on the waitlist as of April 8th, 2016, we will be sending out invitations in waves until all available spots are filled. Invitations will be sent based on when you joined the waitlist. Spots are still limited, so please act quickly if you receive an invitation. As a reminder, when you receive your invitation to join, be sure to enter the same email address used to join the waitlist. If you don’t receive an invitation this time around, or you joined the waitlist after April 8th – don’t worry! As more spots open up each month, we’ll continue to send out invitations on a rolling, first come, first served basis.

 

If you would like to join the waitlist, please enter your email by visiting www.sephora.com/play. You will be included in future months’ invitations.

 

Q: When will invites be sent out to people who are on the waitlist?

A: The first wave of invitations for signup will be sent during mid-April 2016. They will continue to be sent out in monthly increments as the program grows.

 

Q: Where does PLAY! by SEPHORA ship?

A: PLAY! by SEPHORA is currently only available in the U.S. and can ship to any address in the contiguous 48 states.

 

Q: If I do get an invite, am I guaranteed a box?

A: Box quantities are limited each month. If you are invited to subscribe to PLAY! by SEPHORA, please redeem your invitation and claim your spot as soon as possible so that you don’t miss out on that month’s box.

 

Q: Will Canadians have an opportunity to subscribe?

A: PLAY! by SEPHORA is not currently available in Canada; however, we will keep you posted on any plans for expansion.

 

Q: I am a US resident and do not live in one of the contiguous 48 states. When will PLAY! be available to me?

A: We are currently exploring ways to expand our shipping capabilities to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and US Military Bases. We'll be notifying clients as soon as we have an update and apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.

Same thing for me too. Don't send an email telling me I have so many days to sign up and then can't even sign up.

I was another who got the email about being taken off the waitlist only to have it reroute me saying i just joined the waitlist!! I'm super upset and disappointed.

Same here, got the my spot is available but now it won't let me sign up. Not happy.

No Bueno!  Please do not ever send me an email stating that I can not subscribe to the box of I am only to be put back in the waiting list.

HI GUYS I HARE THE NOTICE FROM SEPHORA THAT I WAS OFF THE LIST I DONT KNOW IF ITS A FRAUD OR WHAT???? I HAVE 6 DAYS LEFT

The same thing happened to me. Got the email, immediately went to claim my spot....all spots full. Not happy!

You are such a tease, Sephora. I got my invitation email YESTERDAY, tried signing up today to finally get a box, and take a guess...there are no spots available. What a let down. Nice marketing scheme.

I received my invitation and it says there are 7 days left to complete. I go to accept the invitation and it puts me back on the waitlist. Uh Sephora is there a problem with the link? If it was filled up as some of the other people below are saying that is a horrible service and can create a lot of negative feedback on something so new.

When I spoke to a representative on the phone, I was told that my invitation didn't work, even though there was seven days remaining left to claim it, because more people claimed than they expected. It's incredibly poor customer service to knowingly send out more invites than are actually available after already being wait listed. This box was intended as a birthday present, it seems we may reluctantly give up and go with a competitor until this product is more reliable.

I was so happy to get my invitation email yesterday right away I went to sign up and it tells me there are no spots!!!! WTH. So angry. Poor customer service.

I received the email invitation, but when I went to claim my spot using the email where I received the invitation it put me back on the waitlist. Why? That´s not good! very disspointed...

So excited got my you're off the waitlist! Join Play! email!!!  OH WAIT, THAT WAS JUST A CRUEL TRICK BY SEPHORA!!!!  BOOOOOOO SEPHORA!  In reading the previous post I am obviously not the only one that had this mean mean joke played on them.  Please, get it together Sephora, this is not a very good way to do business.  You have really let down your loyal customers with this one.

I am so confused and disheartened, I received an email saying I could now subscribe for Play, yet I am unable to and apparently there are no more spots. I didn't mind having to register with the waitlist but to get an email saying I was now able to subscribe, only to have issues is a bit upsetting. Combine that with a recent nightmare of an experience at one of their stores I am not getting a good feel for Sephora.
