PLAY! by SEPHORA Invitation FAQs

PLAY! by SEPHORA has some exciting news to share with you. Starting in May 2016, we’re expanding PLAY! to the lower 48 states and giving our PLAY! boxes a makeover!

 

For those of you already on the waitlist as of April 8th, 2016, we will be sending out invitations in waves until all available spots are filled. Invitations will be sent based on when you joined the waitlist. Spots are still limited, so please act quickly if you receive an invitation. As a reminder, when you receive your invitation to join, be sure to enter the same email address used to join the waitlist. If you don’t receive an invitation this time around, or you joined the waitlist after April 8th – don’t worry! As more spots open up each month, we’ll continue to send out invitations on a rolling, first come, first served basis.

 

If you would like to join the waitlist, please enter your email by visiting www.sephora.com/play. You will be included in future months’ invitations.

 

Q: When will invites be sent out to people who are on the waitlist?

A: The first wave of invitations for signup will be sent during mid-April 2016. They will continue to be sent out in monthly increments as the program grows.

 

Q: Where does PLAY! by SEPHORA ship?

A: PLAY! by SEPHORA is currently only available in the U.S. and can ship to any address in the contiguous 48 states.

 

Q: If I do get an invite, am I guaranteed a box?

A: Box quantities are limited each month. If you are invited to subscribe to PLAY! by SEPHORA, please redeem your invitation and claim your spot as soon as possible so that you don’t miss out on that month’s box.

 

Q: Will Canadians have an opportunity to subscribe?

A: PLAY! by SEPHORA is not currently available in Canada; however, we will keep you posted on any plans for expansion.

 

Q: I am a US resident and do not live in one of the contiguous 48 states. When will PLAY! be available to me?

A: We are currently exploring ways to expand our shipping capabilities to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and US Military Bases. We'll be notifying clients as soon as we have an update and apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.

I'm having the exact same issue many of you are describing. Obviously we are not alone, but it's extremely frustrating if they are taking 'X' amount of people off the wait list - and giving us 8 days to claim our spot - there should be enough spots for those taken off the wait list at that points in time before taking the next group of people off the wait list. I am incredibly upset and extremely frustrated that it isn't the case.

Got an email saying I could FINALLY subscribe just to be added to the wait list again?????!

I am so frustrated! I just received an email saying that I was off the wait list and when I clicked the link it said there was no more spots available! I am confused as to why they would tell me that I am available to get the PLAY box when all of the spots are all of a sudden full. Not happy with this at all.

I received the email invitation, but when I went to claim my spot (using the exact email where I received the invite) it put me back on the waitlist! Got my hopes up for nothing! Come on Sephora, I've been waiting for months!

Says I have 7 days to redeem my spot and then puts me back on a waiting list I've been on for months? What a rip off!!!! So disappointed

Received the invitation and it said I have 7 days to sign up ... but when I tried to redeem it, it says spots are full 😞

Same here. I received the invitation and immediately clicked on the link to sign up, like IMMEDIATELY, but its a no go. Says there is still a wait and I'll be added to the list. Disappointed is an understatement!! Come on Sephora, figure this one out for us ladies!

I am so frustrated Sephora!! I joined the wait list for PLAY months ago. I was informed I am off the wait list now and to top it off their is even a countdown clock letting me know how long I have left to take advantage of subscribing and there is still 7 full days available. So then why is it when I click the email offer to sign up am I rerouted to a page letting me know I am back on the wait list yet again? What is up with this Sephora? Does one hand not know what the other is doing? This is just totally bad customer service and PR.

You can add me to the growing list of disappointed customers who are back at the end of the line after receiving Sephora's fake-out invitation to Play.  Not good, Sephora...

I clicked on the invite as soon as I got it and it says I'm back on the wait list. Really? This is ridiculous. Maybe I'll just do Birchbox or another box subscription instead of waiting another 6 months, so disappointed 😕

Off the waitlist? Not really! I tried to claim my spot and was placed on the waitlist....so now I am bumped to the back of the line?!?!

I got an email too saying i was off the list. I clicked the link to start the sign up process and it said that all spots were full. This is disappointed as I have been waiting a while to get off the list. Sephora, poor form!

I got the e-mail saying I'm off the wait list, then I try to subscribe and all the spots are full? Really???

What a disappointment!

I got an email that says I'm no longer on the waitlist and have 8 days to subscribe.  When I clicked to subscribe, I became waitlisted again?  Really Sephora?!? Why even bother sending out the email.

Got an email saying I was off the wait list the moment i received i have tried to subscribe and it says all spots are full. It say I have 7 days left to subscribe why does it say all the spot are full that isn't fair so now I have to wait again ?

I received an invitation to subscribe yesterday at 12:30 pm and when I went to subscribe I was placed on the waiting list again. It hasn't even been 24 hours since I received the notification and no spots are available? What gives Sephora? This is poor marketing on your part
