Hi PLAY'ers,
Exciting news to share! In an effort to make our monthly PLAY! DATES even more accessible and fun, we are looking to you to help us rethink the experience.
Reply to this post with your ideas and recommendations for what you want to see at your local PLAY! DATE. This could be product types, activities, or time/date preferences. All ideas welcome! This is about you.
We'll be taking feedback though the end of October, so get your share on!
xoxo
Team PLAY!
Go to subscription addiction site and they have what is in the boxes.
Thanks so much for the chance to share feedback, @SephoraPLAY! โค๏ธ
I've been with Play since the very first box (September 2015) - Happy Two Year Anniversary! โค๏ธ
Sadly, I have not yet been able to attend any Play Dates yet because they have not been held at any stores in my local area. ๐
I would love to see Play Dates available in more cities and I love the idea of an extra treat on your special anniversaries, as mentioned by @vront below! โค๏ธ
My suggestion has less to do with actually attending the Play! Dates and more to do with helping us Beauty Insiders who can't make it into one at all. How about offering some small discount or fraction of points for accumulating Play passes we haven't been able to use; maybe allowing the member to log into their Sephora account and entering the barcode numbers from the play passes.
I think it would be fun at the Play! Dates to celebrate customers who have been subscribing for months (like a 6 month anniversary, 1 year, etc) and they could get a little something extra/a special gift?
Also I'd love to see one in the city of Chicago. Right now the closest one is out in the burbs
Same with other users, I'd love for more stores to offer them! My work is 4 blocks from a Sephora, but they have never had a Play date, if they did I would definitely go! The only one in Oregon is out in the subarbs, and since they are in the evening, that means driving through 1+ hours of traffic each way to get there ๐
I would also like to have these scheduled at different locations, either rotate them or let there be more locations to choose from each month. In NYC, they are always on East 86th Street in Manhattan and it would be much easier if there were dates in each borough.Or even two boroughs a month, and rotate those locations.
I have never been to a Play! Date because of the location issue. Another solution would be letting Play! subscribers go to their most convenient location for something special instead.
I would like to have a play date near my area 32607.
I live near a ton of Sephoras but the play dates are always at the Cambridgeside store. Any way the Play! Dates can be rotated through the various stores? I know it would make it more convenient for me if it were closer (and cheaper too since you have to pay for parking at Cambridgeside)!
@jozkid you're in the suburbs right? They eventually started doing dates at the Pru (Boston) and Cambridgeside (cheaper to park in Cambridge for sure), which both seemed to be sparsely attended before the full country roll out. Once things got popular enough, sometimes both locations were full, other times there were 3 attendees. I distinctly remember on one of the nights they were celebrating an anniversary of Play! (I think at the 1 yr of country wide launch) people drove in from Worcester, but also Western Mass and RI for the little gwp. Which is crazy. If we were one of the test markets, and I believe Sephora included people geographically outside the 128 border in this market, they should definitely do events in Burlington/Chestnut Hill/Natick. At least!
I definitely agree more local stores should do the play events. If the stores have most of the products we're receiving in the boxes, it's easy to do demos and sample the things. It's also easy for corporate to send a sample box to work from. The stores I've attended events at just get one of their SAs to run the night. If your local store has beauty classes, your store should be able to run a Play! night. But even if not, it's great practice for the SAs to learn how to present a class to willing and happy participants.
Exactly @snoflakefaerie! If they could rotate the events through the various stores - Cambridgeside, Prudential, Burlington, Lynnfield, South Shore, North Shore, Chestnut Hill, Natick, even Rockingham - then people who are closer to those locations would probably be more likely to attend. I suspect that they would be more evenly attended than they are now. While Cambridge and even Boston are less than 20 miles away from me, I find the idea of fighting rush hour traffic to go to one a little daunting. Plus none of the Play! Products are so "new" that a particular Sephora store wouldn't have them. And as you said, if it were an issue, it wouldn't be difficult to provide the store with those items.
I would actually like to see a playdate in my area first !! I get the email but none of the stores in my area offers it. I would like to see makeover (in class type setting) using the products in the box (where we get to see and learn and apply these things on ourselves), complimenting products to what we got in the box and discount for buying things that day would be great.
Not sure if swapping with other customers can be allowed but that would be a great option too (but these have to be decided ahead of time.. maybe in a locality/ city based community playgroup here in BIC) so that it's not chaos at the store.
I love these ideas! @Lazybeautybeast โค๏ธ
