Hi PLAY'ers,

Exciting news to share! In an effort to make our monthly PLAY! DATES even more accessible and fun, we are looking to you to help us rethink the experience.

Reply to this post with your ideas and recommendations for what you want to see at your local PLAY! DATE.  This could be product types, activities, or time/date preferences. All ideas welcome! This is about you.

I live in Portland, but the closest "play date" is always at the sephora in a JCP in a mall outside of Portland in Tigard. Trying to get out there and then home for dinner on a work night is terrible. Maybe rotate the stores where the play dates are held? The last one I went to promised a free play box for a friend if you RSVP and brought a friend. My fiend was disappointed when they just offered her two little samples because "too many people showed up". What's the point of the rsvp? It didn't inspire her to subscribe.

@MardyJen I have never found the playdate in Tigard. When/ where did you find it? When I search in Portland/ Seattle, closest one shows in California !

It's in the jcp at Washington square. When you the notice there's two options to search: playdates near me and playdates in jcp.

"PlayDates" are cute ideas and I appreciate the effort...But for those of us who can not make "PlayDates" or prefer to opt out-we should have options as an alternative maybe conversing on a blog for points? I really do not care to spend my spare time to go into Sephora to speak to strangers about teeny samples in my box...Sorry but true, I am tired after the week/day...What about the population such as myself? @Sephora

I would like the products to be like promo codes or reward size - enough to try to see if it works or I like it ! I don’t mind fragrances but a bigger size to use more then once or twice .

Wondering if you could offer a fragrance free option for play subscription? Also for samples? I get instant headaches from perfumes, would be lovely to have them go to those that can enjoy them.

Agree! I have asthma and sometimes I can't use anything in the box at all if perfume gets on it!

Do a demonstration on how to use the products in that month boxes. I'd like to watch the demo and maybe ask a few questions. Liked going to a play date at JC Penny's Sephora 

Forgot to add have the products where I can easily pick one up, like have the play date products at the front register for the event.

My products in the box this month did not come with a bag. They were just in the box. Did anyone else have this happen?? It's not a big deal but the bags are part of it

I'm always disappointed I can't go because the store in my area isn't doing the play date! I've never been to one to offer more critique than that really. I would love for it to be getting to see a demo and sample all of the products that month - not just the ones we personally received.

It would be great if they offer this in the afternoon as well, I'm a mother of two and I always miss out the play events because the event is too late at night!

I live in NYC and have been going to the one on 86th and Lex. When we first started, it was a small group and we would always have something to take home with, nothing big, just a few samples or things that we didn't get in our box so we get to try other things. One time they gave everyone a surprise bag, my friend was so impressed she became a subscriber too. However, as more and more people start to attend Play date, samples became "gift with purchase". I always buy something anyways, but it would be nice if I could try things in other people's boxes by just participating in the Play date.

More cities for sure! Or rotate them so people who aren't local to the 8 locations can attend!!

Yes - more cities would be nice. I live in Seattle and the closest is San Fran. Ok that’s a 2 hour flight.
