NOT FAIR

Very disappointed at Sephora. I was VIB Rouge. all of a sudden this year they made me VIB. I spent so much money on Sephora last year. I used to go to the store to buy something just to get points of my play pass. But you know you never end up buying just one item. Also, I never got any message to spent any amount of money to keep my VIB Rouge status. Without giving any heads up, they just made me VIB! I will stop putting any effort to keep my Sephora status from now on.

I think it's dumb that you have spend a certain amount of money each year in order to keep your Sephora status. At first I thought once you reached VIB or ROGUE that you would stay that way cause you spend so much money already to reach it but no you have to spend $1000 each year to keep ROGUE. I just figured I'll just buy free shipping online and pay $10 since it's one of perks for reaching ROGUE and save hundreds each year.

Hi there when you reach VIB or ROGUE your status has perks. VIB sends you one time use of free shipping, 10% off and a free makeover. ROGUE you get one full year of free shipping online and monthly free makeovers.

no mine actually went down to insider but it says VIB, not sure why but it does do that 🙂

Also, because I just reread your post... your status is not determined by the number of points you have. It's determined by the amount of dollars you spend. So even if you've been using your Play credits to add points to your account, that's not going to help you get any closer to Rouge. Although your profile still says Rouge to me, so you might want to take it up with their Customer Service department. It could've been a mistake.

Thanks for the info. I didn't know that the points of Play Pass don't count. But I'm curious why do they send them every month if that doesn't help me to maintain the status. 🤔

It still says rouge to me too. I think she’s just complaining about a problem that doesn’t exist 😂

Maybe Rouge wasn't explained properly to you? You need to spend at least $1,000/year to keep your Rouge status. If you were downgraded to VIB, it's because you didn't meet that mark within the past year of becoming a Rouge member. At least that's my understanding. It's happened to me, I'm a VIB now, but I really don't see myself spending less than $1,000 by the end of the year so I'm not super worried about it.

And I'm pretty sure they don't warn you when your Rouge status is about to expire. I wouldn't really expect them to though. It's pretty easy to keep track of that stuff on your own.

They did me when mine was coming close, it’s in the emails in my experience.

They usually send an email which mentions the amount of money you need to spend in order to keep your ROUGE status. Here in this conversation, it's showing my status as ROUGE, but in my app and also in the store they told me I'm a VIB now. So I really don't know why it's showing ROUGE here. I'm confused.
