I have the same problem also and got something for frizz.. I've been also getting stuff that dont have a seal🤔

But when I can its pointless bc they dont care and say sorry cant do anything about that. Also with my points I spend some stuff was out and one was opened but sorry cant do anything about it .🤯

I was very pleased with my box this month. To get the tatcha new primer made the box worth it alone. I love tatcha products. The Clinique makeup remover came at perfect timing since I need to restock.

I see I'm not the only one that gets a lot of repeats. i can't say how many mascaras and eyeliners I get. I have yet to get an eye shadow and get repeated creams. My eyes are hooded so I rarely wear eyeliner because of it's not done right it just makes my eyes look smaller. I tend to just give them to my daughters. I was getting really odd foundation colors even though I have my profile set up. They were really nice over the phone and refunded me for a box and gave me an extra 100pts when I complained. So, I thought I'd try the next couple of boxes. Meh. Think I'm going to take a break for now.

Well they wont do anything for me.... maybe it's where I live idk anymore. They wont do anything about when I get bad stuff with my points, and half of them r so small. Wish they would help give back some they r making a killing off of me and I know tons of others geez🤯

Kinda bummed I didn't get the bum bum cream or the cover fx setting powder 😕 I do love the mini aqua bomb though, I intend to buy the full size

I hated this box . The lipstick came in such an ugly color that wasn’t for me at all . I was excited for it but I was disappointed. I will be using nothing from my box this month , it was just a waste of money this time . I’ll probably cancel soon .

When I read about all these complaints about your boxes being generic - did you people go in and tailor your Sephora box details??? You can tell them hair color, age, ethnicity, skin concerns, etc. I’ve been with the program since it launched and have never had a single problem. I have highly chemically treated colored hair, mega pale skin and hate all nude/neutral shades and am a moisturizer junkie - my box pretty much hooks me up every month. So it’s probably not Sephora Play but perhaps you not investing time in setting up the information correctly.

WRONG.  Do you really think people would be complaining if they were getting items that matched their profile???  You’ve been super lucky hun.  I set up my profile and have tweaked it time and again and yet they still insist on sending wave spray and hair oils and other hair care products that I can’t use because my hair is kept super short, and it’s oily.  Eyeliners for hooded eyes?  Don’t think so, but I get a ton of them.  Ipsy is way better for the $10, even if the samples aren’t all brands I’m familiar with.  Then you get to review your items and give them feedback on what you like or don’t like, and that’s each month.

Of COURSE we set up profiles- really?? That’s where all the disgust is coming from- at least on my part!  I call and email CS repeatedly to try to understand HOW these boxes are chosen so that if I need to, I can lie on my profile to make sure I get products I can actually USE.  The reply- I used TOO many variables on my profile (eg: I can have dry skin OR be concerned with aging but using both “confuses” things.  I’ve been ignored, dismissed and treated like I’m bothering them with complaints, and they STILL haven’t fixed it!  The last time I called, I ended up with the rep telling me that the department I neede was shipping- I guess some guy down there decides which boxes we get- which makes PERFECT sense!  I should not have to call every month about these issues!!!  Sephora really needs to wake up.  They have tons of awesome samples that I really want to try and would likely buy, but Sephora decides they don’t fit my profile as well as the junk they send which I have NO interest in.  It’s very very very frustrating!!!

I repeatedly check my profile and have it set to as close as I can get it...we all know Play isn't personalized. I get hair volumizer or dry shampoo and I have really big, long curly hair. I get foundations 3 of the 5 boxes but have set no color IQ because I don't use foundation. when boxes go out with products like the Tatcha primer, the Laura Mercier powder. etc. and I get hair volumizer and dry shampoo and foundation almost every box, that is not on me. Sephors needs to spread the wealth with their high end samples and look at the prifile or even my order history. You are a lucky one that gets things you can use. Many others are not. At least they SHOULD include a high end product in Every box...not jyst a chosen few... just my 2 cents. Love Sephora and spend tons of money there but Play is just sad.

@Moonrushn I completely agree. I think her and a few others have gotten lucky with their boxes. No, Play does not go by our profiles. It was always hit or miss with my boxes. I changed my profile 3 different times and still got sad results. Out of all the boxes I received, the one where I received an Alterna product was the worst. You can get Alterna at Walmart. I don't consider Alterna a name brand due to that. Out of all the high end products they have, they send that. It's good to know some people get lucky with these boxes and may they continue to do so. Just my 2 cents as well.

Mine has been correct but I also get alone maybe 1 maybe 2 things if that each month. I wish I was lucky. I was told when I called they dont even go my our profiles I spend alot on high end they should go by that 🙂 glad to

Although i liked what i got in my june box I cancelled and signed up for ipsy. Its the same things over and over, nothing interesting or fun like eyeshadows or liners. My first ipsy box i got a cute yellow bag that i can reuse to even go to dinner with, a full sized blush brush, eyeliner, eyeshadow and foundation! Love it and so happy I cancelled Play

I like Ipsy better.  I don’t care if they don’t send Drunk Elephant or other high end stuff, because I never get that in my play box anyway.  Ipsy lets you review the products each month, and tell them what you like.  I’ve never gotten the same thing twice, and the bags can be used to put all the samples from Sephora that I can’t use, and donate them to the women’s shelter.

you will be sorry...I was with ipsy since the beginning. they send the same crap NO MATTER WHAT YOUR CUSTOMIZING TEST SAYS in the same crappy shades and sephora's brands are way better.. and after 3,000 cheap plastic bags you even get tired of those. So happy I dumped ipsy for sephora (I also get birchbox) which I love.

I hated my box. I got two repeats from two boxes from earlier this year. I think I'm pulling the plug. And honestly, I just got my box today! Every month gets later and later. No thanks. 10+tax isn't worth the hassle on this. Hot Hot Hot was so NOT NOT NOT! This pic was the final nail in the coffin. Why have such a small sample inside a big box? Not only is it misleading, it's wasteful!

You should have seen the tiniest sample of the Cover FX powder that was in last months box... I was like wtf what am I supposed to do with that??😂😂

sephora actually had nothing to do with the murad box. that is done by Dr Murad himself. The only reason I know this is because I am a licensed esthetician with Massage Envy. I just got several of those samples for FREE from murad so getting this in my play box was great because the nutrient charged water gel is absolutely amazing!!

I don't care if it's Murad or Sephora's issue, I'm tired of getting screwed over. The oversized box is still BS. I don't even like Murad anyway.
