Am I the only that has been extremely disappointed in the boxes??

I stopped Ipsy to start this box and really regret it. Haven’t received a usable mascara yet! Always clumpy and dry before I even try it. Perfume every month that goes straight from box to the trash can. Lots of dry shampoo that also goes straight from box to trash can and boring shades of eye shadow and lip products that I hand to my 12 year old who isn’t even allowed to wear makeup yet because it more suitable for her age! Thinking I need to find a different box, from a different company.

Even though I get no name products from ipsy I tend to like their boxes better. No box is perfect and I tend to give alot away. I often feel too old or too white for the products I receive from sephora. I'm always on the verge of canceling. But it's only 10 dollars and once in a while I get products I actually want to try or established favorites. I had play and cancelled. I liked the box number I was on before alot better.

I was extremely disappointed with Ipsy boxes. A bunch of no name brands and didn’t want anymore finger polish I don’t even use. But I did cancel a year ago so maybe it has changed. Happy I get brand name items with play.

Not really, I just cancelled Ipsy yo start the Sephora Play. Now I'm wishing I had read all these before going into it. 😕

I feel like the boxes are hit or miss. I have an IPSY subscription as well and I tend to prefer that box over this one. I keep thinking I may cancel the Play box, but I like getting the points and every once in awhile I get something really amazing. But there are far too many fragrance samples. And being that I can't handle fragrance with my allergies, it makes the whole bag smell like the sample.

I think it’s true I didn’t like the boxes for the last 3 month and dec I didn’t get it untell like the 27 but it not only the saphora but the ipsy to what’s going on ahhh

Ipsy is better because it lets you review each product so that a “miss” isn’t repeated. I’m like you, some boxes have me sighing especially when they send shades and products not suited to a black woman. I keep this subscription for the skin care and the lipsticks

I don’t knew about that when ever they send me lipstick it always a weird color like purple pink

I’m sorry that you’re unhappy with your box. If you do get products that you won’t use, please consider donating them to a local women’s shelter. Dry shampoo especially would be useful for them but I bet many of them would appreciate some perfume.

Thanks for saying something about this! Sometimes there are products I don’t like, but I know that someone else might be able to enjoy them! My sister donated a lot of unused makeup, perfume, and hair products to a nonprofit in the Houston area after Hurricane Harvey. You’d be surprised what a little mascara can do for a person who has just lost everything!

I joined after mid Dec. Jan will be my first box. I get several subscriptions. For $10 bucks a month, I agree with you. Anything I don't use. Can make a cute little gift box for the ladies at the shelter. Save them up. And take and donate. Your idea was great, also we can add more things to these samples and give to women's shelters. 🙏💝 People who don't have anything are truly grateful. So many take what they have for granted. The only way I really would complain, is if I wasn't receiving the whole box at all. Can't expect a lot for $10. Have a Blessed day.

That’s very true. We don’t have a local shelter(closest shelter is about 90 mins away) but many churches that do a lot for the community. I try to donate when I can and they could use the money spent on the box more than I use the box.
