PLEASE HELP!FOUNDATION SUGGESTIONS

GOOD MORNING TO ALL, LATELY I HAVE BEEN STRUGGLING WITH SUCH AN OILY SKIN AND A FEW BREAKOUTS, PLEASE SUGGEST A GOOD FOUNDATION FOR MY TYPE OF SKIN THAT WILL LAST LONG WITH GOOD COVERGE? RIGHT NOW I AM USING TOO FACED(BORN THIS WAY) OR CLINIQUE ACNE SOLUTIONS. I DO USE NARS PRIMER BUT DOESN'T SEEM TO HELP EITHER. THANK YOU SO MUCH IN ADVANCE. I WOULD TRULY APPRECIATE ANY SUGGESTIONS

RE: PLEASE HELP!FOUNDATION SUGGESTIONS

Estee Lauder Double Wear with the new Peter Thomas Roth primer for oily skin is fabulous!! I would apply it with a damp sponge because it can get cakey if your not careful. Good luck!!

RE: PLEASE HELP!FOUNDATION SUGGESTIONS

i have tried many different foundations and esteé lauder has the best coverage and lasts all day.

Foundation I have had some breakouts since I lost my moth...

Foundation I have had some breakouts since I lost my mother and started going through menopause I have been using clinique stay matte oilfree foundation and I really like the finish and is full coverage as well hope this helps

Re: PLEASE HELP!FOUNDATION SUGGESTIONS

I have oily and acne prone skin, here's what works for me:

- Urban Decay Naked Foundation

- Hour Glass Immaculate Foundation

- Wander Beauty Wanderlust Powder Foundation

- Makeup Forever HD Foundation

Hope this helps! I usually set my makeup with a powder foundation and finish it off with a setting spray for good measure.

I have used Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay in Place for years. It is full coverage and good for oil control. I was a flight attendant and worked very long days and overnights, it has staying power. A little goes a long way, too.

Hourglass foundation. Once you try it you won't go back ... PS I just use the foundation without primer for everyday use.

Re: PLEASE HELP!FOUNDATION SUGGESTIONS

I definitely second @JaneanBT suggestion of the hourglass mineral veil primer. I use it and love it. I have combo, acne prone skin and this sits well on my oily areas as well as my dry ares without breaking me out. They do sell it in a smaller travel size ($26 CDN) that is a bit more affordable if you want to try it out first, or if you are close to a store maybe go in and get a sample to try before dropping the cash on it.

If you are looking for a bit of a more wallet friendly alternative,  you could try the travel size of the Cover FX Mattifying Primer with Anti-Acne treatment ($19 CDN) or a travel size of the Becca Evermatte Poreless Primer ($18 CDN). I have heard amazing things about these products!

As far as foundations, I hear amazing things about the Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation. It is very long lasting and has amazing coverage and is a cult favourite, especially among those with oily skin as it holds up through the day!

I hope you find some products that you love!

Re: PLEASE HELP!FOUNDATION SUGGESTIONS

Hi @jesstx89,

I would use a mattifying primer like the Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer.

A great foundation that helps control oil production is Lancome's Teint Idole Ultra 24 HR foundation. It is oil free and provides medium to buildable coverage.

I also suggest Make Up Forever's Mat Velvet + Mattifying Foundation.  This is a shine controlling, oil-free, water-resistant, complete coverage liquid foundation.

I hope this helps!

Best Wishes,

Janean

Re: PLEASE HELP!FOUNDATION SUGGESTIONS

Sounds like skin is dehydrated, it's produces more oil to try and rebalance itself when stripped.

Which is fixed via skincare. What exact products are you using?
