What's happening in Canada?

Why are there fewer and fewer products in Sephora stores in Canada for several brands like 

#fresh and #urbandecay?

I imagine if it dosen't sell, it's not profitable to keep stocked? If it dosen't make money,  realisticly it has to go. 

There are lots of things that just are plain ol' not available here due too FDA regulations, but when we're talking about things that we're here in the last year or more that are disappearing. That's tough to see happen.

I know there are lots of brands I'd love to see here but losing Natasha Denona is hitting me haaaarrrddd. I can only pray we keep Danessa Myricks becuase I am dying for the gorgeous eyeshadow if I'm ever lucky enough to get one

I don't know the answers, only Sephora can say the what and why of it all.

In the meantime I'm crying into my pillow case a little bit,  why is it shy hard to get fun make up here 😭

I have been noticing more and more products. Months ago Natasha Denona. Today for example the Makeup by Mario master mattes that is on my love list says it can no longer be shipped to Canada, it was available last night.

Hi @Funkybabe! From what I know, Health Canada (Canadian equivalent to US FDA) does regulate cosmetics. They are usually more conscientious of ingredients that can and can’t be in products that are on the shelves here compared to their American counterparts. Unless the company is willing to tweak the formulation and substitute ingredients, it can’t be sold here. Not all companies are willing to put in the extra R&D though.
