Canadian Secret Santa 2018

Hi everyone! Since dyslexia cannot organize the exchange this year, I'm willing to head up a Secret Santa. I made a few changes to her rules, so please review this post carefully before signing up. 

Rules for 2018:

1. Open to both Canada & US. If in US, you must be willing to ship to Canada. If in Canada, you can specify that you want to only ship within the country.
2. Active BIC participant: Must have have a minimum 600 hearts and must have posted at least once within the last 3 months (since July 10, 2018). Since this is my first time running this exchange and we've had the recent change from BT to BIC, I'm going to be strict with this requirement.
   You can check your hearts by going to your profile at https://www.sephora.com/users/[YOUR USERNAME HERE] scroll down to posts, and click on "view all" - top right will show your total hearts received. 
   It isn't intended to reinforce a clique at all, but since we are exchanging some personal information, I want to ensure that the people who sign up will follow through. One of the ways we do that is by selecting an eligibility requirement based on activity and involvement in the community. If you don't meet the requirements this year, please be encouraged to continue to participate in the community in the future! 
3. Exchange will run via Elfster -- when you sign up please PM me with your email address so I can send your invite.
4. Deadlines:
   Sign-up cut off date: Friday, October 26, midnight EST. 
   Matching day: between Saturday, October 27 and Monday, October 29 Please also have your Elfster wishlist(s) up to date by then.  
   Ship-by date: Tuesday, December 11th (based on Canada Post shipping guidelines for 2018). Feel free to send sooner!
5. Spending minimum is CAD$50. This is a minimum, not a maximum. You may go over the minimum limit, but there is no expectation nor is it necessary for you to do so. This is a total, so it can be made up of either one bigger item, or a few smaller items.

@GG84    It was perfect timing that my husband had a work thing and I could tag along! i think it worked out for the better too not having to worry about CP strikes or shippers tossing my package around!

yay! I was so excited to be able to meet you to hand deliver your gift. And so glad that you love it all. I was kind of nervous about having a good portion of the box aa non beauty items! 😊 I had try so hard not to buy one of everything for myself too 🤣🤣🤣

the chocolates are from my favourite chocolate shop in Edmonton. they make such yummy and almost too pretty to eat chocolate!

I totally used to be a sprinkle hater until trying these Sweetapolita ones! They converted me ane they totally don't have that chalky texture and have a nice crunch to them 😊

p.s. I haven't had a chance to open your gift yet... as soon as we checked in to the hotel, my husband decided he wanted to go grab a bite!! but thanks so much; i didn't expect that at all 😊❤

It really is almost too pretty to eat! I'm going to feel so boujee eating a golden Santa 💝 (as well as the sprinkles and chocolates)!

Gift update, I got the letter from my elfie (which I haven't opened) and the parcel is waiting for me at a Canada Post pick up point so I'm going to try and pick it up today 🤞🏽. Also for anyone that's tracking Canada Post parcels, their update system seems slow and incorrect the last few weeks, but parcel delivery is no more than a few days late.

@Aaliaa It seems that anything shipped in the week the strike ended or prior is taking long and in limbo and being affected by tracking errors. I ordered from Sephora 2 days ago and got my order today. I've also sent multiple items successfully.

Yup, I still have packages that keep getting moved to 'delivery tomorrow' but I got the packages a few days ago. No luck picking up the Santa package yesterday (Dear Canada Post WHY WHY WHY did you move my pickup point, when there are at least 5 possible locations closer then the one now used for my building?!?!)

I've hidden the card under all my linen to avoid being tempted to open and see who my Elfie is, yes I'm just that crazy!! @GG84

@Aaliaa    oh no. that is the worst!! my local post office closes at 6 every day so I always have to make a mad dash to the post office as soon as I get home from work if I know I have a package and don't want to wait until the weekend!
