Vinegar/manicure

Ok I have heard that apply vinegar to your nails before applying the polish helps your manicure last longer is this true and has anyone tried this.

Interesting, I'd never heard of using vinegar before, but sure, it makes sense...vinegar is a great cleaning product, it removes grease really well (it's my main cleaner around the house)!

Alcohol and pure acetone will do the same as well, those are the two I always recommend for cleaning the nail plate before polishing, but plain vinegar should have a similar effect (if you don't mind the scent). The goal is to clean any and all oils off the nail so that polish can adhere better, so any of those three will do the job 😊

ETA: you know what, after thinking about it for a bit, I would not recommend vinegar, as it is diluted with water, and water is terrible for your nails. Stick to acetone or alcohol!

Yes, it absolutely works. The vinegar removes any oily residue on your nail, and allows for a better adhesion from your base coat.

Thank you I got some and I am trying it now.

I didn't try this before.
