I think a good caffeine infused eye cream is so important. The Sephora collection makes one and it’s affordable and clean. It helps with dark circles a ton. My skin freaked out for a solid 2 months after having my youngest and breastfeeding made it worse. I used a tea tree oil mask that really helped because I was trying to keep it natural. Breastfeeding makes hormone levels a little lower than usual and can cause hormonal acne like what appears before a period. It sucks and I was not prepared for it lol.

Do you mean the MURAD - Rapid Age Spot and Pigment Lightening Serum or the MURAD - Rapid Age Spot Correcting Serum? @sea2063 The former uses AHAs and the second uses Niacinamide and Vitamin C. In either of those cases, I would suggest alternating or using one in the morning and another at night just so that you don't overwhelm your skin. Also, don't forget to use SPF daily if you're using exfoliants (or even if you're not) since the sun can darken spots.

My husband is a perinatal physician and he said that you really only need to be mindful of avoiding retinol and any derivative of it. I used a lot of Caudalie products because all of their products are pregnancy safe. I can't recommend their concentrated brightening essence enough. Within a week, it lightened my dark spots (mostly freckles that had gotten darker during my pregnancy) and made my skin look a lot brighter. I've also been told that Tacha products were made to be pregnancy safe.

@KCPrince Yes, but definitely not when my youngsters were four months old!  I was lucky if I completed any sort of skincare at that stage of mommy life- even luckier if I got a shower.  I kept skincare beside the bed just in case to make it more likely.  I found it that even with minimal time it was always  easy to get a tinted lip balm on and a swipe of mascara.  Don’t worry, baby won’t mind you not being glam so long as you’re warm and cuddly  By about eight to ten months you should have a little more time to yourself with the naps being more regular and with a more predictable schedule.

I am a rouge member and have been for years. I booked an appt for my daughter’s makeover. She was running late and tried to call the store, no one answered. She arrived at store late and the store refused her makeover. I spoke to the rude manager “Jackie” who despite my pleas cancelled my daughter’s appt. On prom night!!!! Despicable behavior by untrained individuals. Not spending a dime in a store that has no value or morals!!!!

If what you really enjoy is doing your eyeshadow, there's no reason you have to spend lots of time on everything else. Ultimately, what you do with your own face should be what you enjoy. (And judging by your profile photo, your skin looks great, so you don't need to worry too much about figuring out foundation if you don't want to.) When it comes to choosing foundation and concealer, they tend to be pretty personal to a person's skin. If you stop by a Sephora storefront, they should be willing to make you up to three sample pots of products to try per visit, which can let you try out different foundations/concealers on your own skin without spending money.  (Speaking of playing with makeup, I personally find that a well-chosen blush palette can be almost as much fun as a eyeshadow palette, and just as versatile!) On the topic of getting ready with kids: Once the kids are old enough to pay attention to your makeup application, you may find them fascinated with all the shiny eyeshadows. In order to preemptively prevent them from sticking their hands into said eyeshadows in an attempt to play, I recommend you get them their "own palettes"-- you can pick up any random palette at the dollar store to give them. They're playing pretend, so price/pigmentation doesn't actually matter. And then hopefully, they'll be content to play with their very own "makeup", while leaving yours alone.

Welcome! I will warn you, it’s addictive. I went in once just because I was passing it in the mall and now I’m almost at rouge status and my collection has grown exponentially. If you can, go into a store and tell them what you’re looking for. Maybe even have a makeover done if you can afford the extra cost. See what products are recommended for your skin and go from there. Good luck!

I tried them all. Neutrogena, cetaphil, all of those drug store products and nothing helped. Some made it worse. I have found that since I’m lactose intolerant eating dairy will cause breakouts so I stay away from that. I also use DoTERRA products as my skin care. They are gentle and my skin has never looked better.

So sorry you are feeling this way. I would recommend you start with a primer. For drugstore I would say the Maybelline baby skin instant pore eraser, and for high end I would recommend the Smashbox photo finish. Also, you can use a setting spray or primer spray before AND after your makeup. You dont need to buy both. Then, I would mix a foundation with some moisturizer because whoever you are, you are beautiful, you don't need much coverage. For drugstore, Loreal Lumi foundation and for high end, The Too Faced born this way. Then you should conceal because as you get older your pimples go away but the dark circles dont. For drustore Maybelline fit me and for high end the too faced born this way Multi use sculpting concealer. You should set the foundation after that, with either the Rimmel stay matte Powder or the Tarte Shape tape loose powder. Then I would use a blush and I havent found the perfect drugstore one, but the Tarte amazonian Clay blush is relatively cheap for high end. And then some ladies like to do their eyebrows and if that is you, you can use the Anastisia brow whiz or the Maybelline pencil. You dont necesarily need to set it with a brow gel but if you want you can. For eyeshadow you dont really need to spend a whole bunch of money on a huge eyeshadow palette so I would recommend getting some nude single colors. Maybelline has some fantastic single eyeshadows and they come with little applicators so you dont need to spend a whole bunch of money on brushes. I dont really have any good high end single eyeshadows. You should get an eyeshadow they same color as your eyelid, a shimmery champagne color for all over the lid, and a dark brown or if you feel nice, a purple shade for the eyelid. And then a liquid eyeliner, I recommend the Kat Von D tatoo liner in a black color but you dont have to use eyeliner unless you necesarily need it. For mascara you should use the Almay One coat thickening mascara and then the Tarte Tarteist mascara for length. Then choose a Mac lipstick, I like the velvet teddy shade. Then use the Becca Champagne Pop highlight. After that you should use the same spray you used to prime your face in the beginning, whether or not it is a primer spray or a setting spray. I hope this helps, but remember you are absolutely gorgeous without makeup too, even though I dont know you! Everyone is beautiful!!!!!!!

@jeini If you are buying online, you can choose 2 samples from the sample page at checkout. If you're buying in-store, you can have one of the Sephora employees make samples for you of whatever items you are interested in. I don't remember what the in-store limit is off the top of my head, I think it used to be 3 per beauty category. But I'm not sure if that's still the case.
