Hello! I know this post has been up a few months, but I recently tried some cream that is literally erasing the stretch Mark's I have (and always had as far as I can remember) as well as getting rid of old pigment scar marks I have on my breasts from a hospital infection I suffered roughly 2 years ago. It is at Target and has raw, unscented Shea Butter. I rub it on 3 times a day. It has been about three weeks in and I am SO happy! It's from Shea Moisture.

When you feel ready to start dabbling in the world of makeup it’s a good idea to talk to your parents to see how they feel about it. There are a variety of reasons people like to wear makeup and opening up dialect about that can be really positive and insightful @Julsgg5!Tinted moisturizers are a great place to start , a good one will be Moisturizing and will help to even your skin tone. They are also less maintenance than foundation since you can apply it with your fingers. It’s also great to get one with SPF because sun protection is important at all ages ☺️

@casss08 Hi dear, First I wanted to say that, I'm sorry you are feeling the way that you are.  I wish there was more I could do for you than just give you some makeup tips.  I know how important looking (and feeling) beautiful can be to our self-worth as women, but I hope that you can find various ways to improve your self-esteem.  And, obviously I don't know your exact situation, but if your self-esteem is uncharacteristically low, you could be struggling with something more than not knowing how to do your makeup.  Please reach out to someone for help.  You can send me a private message as a starting point. Now on to the fun stuff, makeup!  First, be careful what you tubers you are watching.  Some are really helpful, others set up such ridiculous standards of what is "normal" makeup.  I think Wayne Goss gives some solid tips, for example, and Gothamista is a great skin care guru.  A Sephora or Mac employee would love to help you.  I would schedule an appointment ahead of time, I believe as long as you are spending 50 (75?) on products a full makeup and skincare consult is free.   As far as costs, I would choose to spend money on a few things, and for a lot of it, I would look elsewhere than Sephora.  As a quick rundown .. mascara, there are always good drugstore options.  Foundation -- spend on.  Powder, if you need/want it, you can choose to spend or save, it's a preference.  You can get a "face palette", like Nars Wanted, and for sixty dollars you've got a whole blush wardrobe plus a contour shade and highlighter.  Then as you learn to play with makeup more and start getting into different looks, maybe you want to buy a bolder highlight, or maybe you decide you're more interested in a contour kit.  Really, a face palette, mascara, lipstick, foundation, you're set.  The rest you can get as you want to play with it.  And just tell the Sephora employee that you're a beginner, so they don't start putting a smoky eye on you, but instead match you with an easy-to-apply bb cream, show you where to apply blush to enhance your beautiful skin, and help you pick a lipstick shade you like. If you would like more specific products, tell me about your skin type and such and I can be of more help. I'm sure you're very beautiful sweetie.  I hope you are feeling the way soon. xx

Oh my gracious, YES! And my kiddos are boys but my 2 year old is always trying to get in to my makeup! I usually dig down in my kit and find an old brush I don’t use anymore (or a spare sponge) and let him hold those. He seems content to just hold them, so he feels like he’s a part of what I’m doing, and then goes back to watch Paw Patrol lol

I have a 3yr old now, but also developed dark spots on my face during my pregnancy too! I have just ordered OLEHENRIKSEN Goodnight Glow Retin-ALT Sleeping Crème. I read the reviews and dark spots have noticeably lightened according to a number of different people. I figured it’s worth a whirl, I use their bright eyes eye cream and enjoy that product.

I gave up on using makeup (other than a little cream blusher when I look super pale) for years because my eyes have always been sensitive and, as I got older, I just felt that it looks weird on my face. Now I'm realizing that makeup has actually changed a lot since my early twenties, so I've started experimenting with some minimal makeup for special occasions. Skin care is a lot more important to me now, and I like my basic ritual of cleansing, essence, moisturizer, and sun protection. I'm trying to figure out if I think eye treatments are worth the hype, but I won't really know until I try a few different types. Aloe face masks are absolutely the best and most relaxing thing that I do for my skin and I wish that I had time to use one every morning (I love sleep more). My daughter is seven and finds Mummy's interest in fancy little pots of cream absolutely fascinating.

Im so happy to help by sharing my routine! I hope you're able to figure your skin out haha. I also just liked some of the products recommended by YouTuber Lisa Eldridge. Ive only just discovered her, and I haven't tried any of the products she talks about in the video I shared below, but I am interested in a few of them. I want to try the INDIE LEE - CoQ-10 Toner, which has similar ingredients as the $70 Dermavidual toner I use, and its half the price! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kbMjqJFsXs4&t=344s
