@mhastings78 I don’t wear a lot of makeup and have only been trying to wear more for about a year. I used to only wear powder foundation just to cover redness. I started off with one area at a time so it wouldn’t be overwhelming. I would literally tell myself in the morning you are going to wear makeup today. I started with eyeshadow, then mascara, and now I’m trying lipsticks. I noticed the more compliments I got the better I felt. I still have to tell myself to put on makeup because it’s so easy to just not but I have noticed I feel and look better so it’s worth the extra time for me.

@Kia2018, is it important that you have your makeup on before leaving?  I apply lip and cheek products in the car.  Either when I reach a stoplight (and only if I’m stopped just as it turns red -otherwise not enough time) and if I don’t have enough red lights to finish, I do so before I step into the office.  Full disclaimer: I only apply sunscreen (at home), lipstick + balm and blush in the mornings.

Hi @HockeyMom4life ,   I love the BECCA - Ever-Matte Poreless Priming Perfector  and the TATCHA - The Silk Canvas Protective Primer. Both help with oiliness, minimize the look of pores and help my make up stay matte throughout the day. I hope this helps!    Best Wishes,   Janean

@ather its not going to be easy at first because you will constantly be thinking about the baby but you will get use to it. I stayed at home for the first 4 months after my son was born and it was hard not to be around him but I put trust in the daycare.  They would send me daily reports and videos and pictures assuring me he was doing just fine. I also made sure to pump at work so my milk supply wouldn’t go down.

@Stacyobrien93 I'd recommend taking a Sephora class. There's a "Must-Have Makeup Skills" one that might be a good place to start. *Hopefully you are close to a Sephora* Getting samples is a great way to test if you will like the foundation. Looking "natural" can mean different things to different people. If your budget is more in the drugstore price range maybe some other BIC members will have recommendations. I don't wear foundation much so I don't have any suggestions for you. Good luck!

I feel you! my make up routine has fallen by the wayside until I went back to work too. now I use a moisturizer with SPF when I wash, a BB cream or cc cream (depending on the blemish sitch) and a bit of mascara and eyeliner. I find that only lining the upper kind of draws away from the dark circles, and some plump black lashes make you look more awake! haha I have naturally rosey cheeks (must be the mom rage!) and haven't found a lip colour that can handle the amount of coffee I drink in a day 🤪

Look for tinted moisturizers! I like LAURA MERCIER - Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 20 You can also sheer out your foundation with moisturizer each time but that would also reduce the SPF effectiveness if it's in foundation.

Even with a toddler, I keep my work makeup simple. BB Cream for my primer/foundation, single color eyeshadow most days, mascara sometimes, and lip color. Rarely do I do any blush/bronzer/highlighter. What helps the most is knowowhat you plan to use before starting.

Hey @kalikutie! Congrats on your incoming bundle of joy! As far as pregnancy safe skincare brands I’m not sure that there’s an entirely “safe brand” because it depends on specific ingredients used within each formulation. Sunday Riley has a lot of information available online about which of their products are safe for pregnant and lactating women, and I found them to have good results. Other clean brands that seem to have safe ingredients for pregnant women include Tatcha, Boscia, Farmacy and Tarte. I used/use all these brands while pregnant or breastfeeding. It’s most important to check each invididual product’s ingredient list against a one of the readily available “skincare ingredients to avoid while pregnant” guides that are online and/or consult with your OBGYN for further guidance.  Big ingredients to stay away from are salicylic acid, retinol, and formaldehyde’s.  Also, I read about the dangers of aluminum based deodorant and switched to something more natural like Lavanile. Lastly, take a look into the concerns with chemical sunscreens- I switched to mineral/physical based to calm my worries. Good luck and have a fabulous pregnancy!!! ❤️

Hello! I know this post has been up a few months, but I recently tried some cream that is literally erasing the stretch Mark's I have (and always had as far as I can remember) as well as getting rid of old pigment scar marks I have on my breasts from a hospital infection I suffered roughly 2 years ago. It is at Target and has raw, unscented Shea Butter. I rub it on 3 times a day. It has been about three weeks in and I am SO happy! It's from Shea Moisture.
