Kid friendly skincare routine!

A lot of kids love shopping Sephora and itโ€™s great that they care about their skin but not all products they use are necessarily good. I would like to show parents one of the many affordable skincare routines appropriate for kids. First I would start with any cleanser or if your kid wears make up makeup remover, then go in with a cleanser. Next if you child wants a toner I would recommend one of the glow recipe toners which have no harmful ingredients for youthful skin. Then I would use the purple drink elephant cream and lastly the super goop sunscreen. For body care you can use one of the soldรฉ jenero creams and for perfume a sol de jenero body mist. Also if your kid eats a facial spray I would recommend the glow recipe one or the Mario Bedescu

Re: Kid friendly skincare routine!

I know this isn't used at Sephora but I love BUBBLE for my kids it is very good for young skin and doesn't have any harmful products

Re: Kid friendly skincare routine!

If your child wants a toner, then you should give them a milky toner, or one without exfoliating acids. Glow Recipe cloudberry and watermelon toners are not good for children's skin. I would recommend Byoma or Bubble toners because they have no exfoliating acids. Paula's choice is also not good for children's skin. Get your child more hydrating products with ingredients like hylaronic acid and collegen. I have one 18 year old who uses the glow recipe toner but my 11 year old uses the Byoma milky toner and the Laneige toner once or twice a week. Hopefully this helps!

Re: Kid friendly skincare routine!

Please, if you have a child get recommendations from your dermatologist or doctors, be very careful taking advice from anyone online. No one here is a doctor that I'm aware of.

Children do not need products with actives.

Please do not recommend toners to children. For example, the post above recommends Glow Recipe's toner that has actives like Beta Hydroxy Acids etc... do your research and talk to your doctor's, this is not for young skin.

Re: Kid friendly skincare routine!

I think children using skin care is a way for the to freely express themselves

Re: Kid friendly skincare routine!

Toners fix the skinโ€™s pH balance. Please donโ€™t give that to kids.

Re: Kid friendly skincare routine!

Both the glow recipe toners are actually not safe for young skin cause they have exfoliating ingredients like BHAs

Thank you for sharing!

Re: Kid friendly skincare routine!

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not give your child a toner. They donโ€™t need toners until they are 16. As for drunk elephant I recommend the purple cream or the pink cream, and if they really want a serum get them the hydraulic acid one. Glow recipe toners are horrible for kids. Giving them the toners will destroy their skin. For kid skincare, I recommend you look at bubble, but even they have some harmful things.
