product says delivered, but it's not

I'm really disappointed because I ordered some things off Sephora online on a day where I knew I would receive them by at least this Friday! (I've always been successful with this). I got a notification that my package is delivered but it actually is not in my mailbox, post office, door etc. I check the address I have for shipping and it's correct. It also shows that it was delivered to a different city (no specific address given, just city name in a community mailbox)..... I contacted customer service (twice because the first time was a fail) and all they said they can do is send the package again, but the product I ordered and paid for is out of stock so I can't even get it anymore.... i'm sure there's a way to work it out with the post office it's only one town over... now I wont have my product for the time I needed it even though I ordered it way in advance, which sucks!

so frustrating...

 

has anyone had this experience?

I'll also add, they couldn't guarantee me faster shipping so I would get my products (that were still in stock) three days later after the mailing mistake (which I feel is enough time to deliver express).... and all that was offered was beauty points which I honestly don't care about at this point...

 

I'm not one to complain but I spend a lot at Sephora and this is the only solution they could come up with, on top of the fact the customer service over the phone were extremely uninterested and brushed me off instead of finding a solution...

The first girl even told me there's nothing she can do, after waiting 30 minutes on hold to talk to her, so I had to call back for another person and wait another 30 minutes on hold to see if a new person would be willing to help me and call the post office (because I was told by the post office that Sephora has to call and file the investigation, not me, and that Sephora gave me the wrong info).

 

I definitely understand mistakes are made and the shipment could of been some kind of fluke, it's more about trying to work with what happened and how nothing has really been done for a solution!

 

I'm so stressed, any suggestions..

@Jensengz You may want to post this in the customer service group instead. The mods are very helpful but they cannot monitor all the threads all the time and you may receive a faster response posting there.
