Undereye Makeup to avoid creases

So...I'll be 40 next year and I think I probably need to tweak my makeup routine.  If I put too much concealer under my eyes, I notice some creasing.  How should I apply concealer to minimize under eye creasing?  My undereye creasing is not too bad right now, but I need to start transitioning my undereye makeup technique.

@MsJori I am a little older than you and I make sure my undereyes are prepped well.  I also use Hourglass Veil™ Translucent Setting Powder - Talc Free (I am also a new Sephora employee) to set my undereyes.

Just wanna say creasing doesn't have an age

Creasing = you lived a life, so you have lines from movement like winking, smiling, laughing, etc

Yes, @MsJori , you can try apply less concealer.  I like to use a hydrating one and dot it right near my tear duct and blend out with a fluffy brush.  Using fingers works well too, or a tiny sponge, but what matters more so can be the skin prep in that area.

I like to depuff my eyes because I have Malar bags, so there's hollows there by default.  I use an eye roller, but also like chilled eye masks to the same effect.  Sometimes I'm extra and I'll do both 😂

Essentially since it's dry where I live, I kind of "slug" (serum+ then eye cream + then mask and/or seal) but any hydrating eye cream can help.
