We had a fabulous collection thread on the old BT that didn't seem to migrate over to BIC and since I love looking at collections, I thought I'd start a new thread.

This is a space to share your beauty collections - makeup, lipstick, nail polish, perfume, whatever you've got!

I'll start off with a few of my collections.💗

I've been itching to find some sort of display rack for my nail polish for months now, but had no luck finding something I loved instead of something that would just "do"...so I made my own! 😀 I picked up a $5 window at the flea mall this weekend and whipped up some shelves and a cabinet around it, and slapped on a coat of paint. I'm so in love with how it turned out!

It's not big enough, and I knew it wouldn't be, but I figured I'd start with the $5 window as a test to see how badly I'd screw it up...they had two goooorgeous stained glass windows that I wasn't willing to risk tearing up at $100 each lol, but they may now be on my Xmas list 😋

The cabinet holds pinks, reds, purples, and blues that have been used one or more times

Not including base coats and top coats, I counted 231 polishes today as I was arranging and organizing. 😱

@RGbrown this is my lane!! Love your collection!!! My collection is mainly OPI. I slowed down buying about four years ago when I felt they were repeating colors. What's your favorite brand?

Yay a fellow nail polish junkie!  😀

Zoya makes up the largest part of my collection and I'd have say they were my first polish love. I recently discovered ILNP as well, and they have some gorgeous stuff...I will definitely be adding more of them to my collection. But first and foremost, I am a deal hunter and will buy most anything on sale.. I recently picked up some Revlon and Sally Hansen and CND and OPI on clearance for a couple bucks each from Ulta...I think my true fave is anything I can get for cheap 😂

I love a good polish deal. When I lived in the midwest, there was wholesale shop that I got OPI for about $4-5 for the latest collection. I know what you mean about good sale. Lol. I refuse to pay full price for opi. I have been eyeing morgan taylor but I can't find a place to buy without a nail tech license.

Nail polish was my first beauty love! I've been playing with it for 4-5 years now, whereas I just started dabbling in makeup in the last year 😄

Wow!!!!

First of all, what a fun and beautiful DIY project!  I love the idea of having the glass door because I am so scared that if I put in nail polish shelves, the bottles could get knocked down and break.  This is fabulous!!! ❤️

Secondly, I LOVE seeing the polishes arranged by color!

I love your Morphe collection. I've purchased several of their brushes and LOVE the quality for the price. How are their shadows? Is there another brand you think they are comparable to in terms of quality/pigmentation/texture/etc?

I had actually been thinking about building really simple open shelves...just a 1x2 trimmed along the front with some sort of chair rail or other decorative piece forming a lip over the top of the shelf so the polish couldn't slide off...and then I remembered how much I hate dusting (seriously my least favorite chore, and one that gets severely neglected around here...oops), and how heinous it would be to have to dust all those bottles. I want everything behind glass! Dusting the top of a cabinet is much easier than dusting 231 bottles haha!

I recently arranged my lipsticks by color too...pink, purple, red, and other 😄 My hope is that it will help me realize I already have 437 shades close enough to whatever new thing I'm looking at buying, but I doubt it will work lol

OMG!  You are so brilliant!  Crafty, beautiful and smart, to boot!  I did not even think about dusting!  I am so doing something like this when I finally get my beauty room!  Right now, my nail polishes are stacked in 4 Snaptight containers. 🙂   @RGbrown

Yup, that's the purple Nails Inc Unicorn polish; it's impossible to see through the glare, but the pink one from the set is the third bottle on the top row 🙂
