Sephora Six: Coming Through In a Clench

Hey everyone! 👋🏽.  Ever had a beauty self-actualizing moment? (No? Just me...ok...) I wanted to know...conveniently before sale time... What are those products that come through for you when someone goes away??  They can be a new love, HG or replen.

1000002664.gif

For me this morning it was DIOR Rouge Dior Contour No-Transfer Lip Liner Pencil in Wild Brown.  Any "concealer lip" situation, she can fix!  And Ceremonia Hair Oil Mist con Aloe Vera 2 oz / 60 mL is in my cart, that is a must for me any time I need a little moisture or shine for my tresses.

Other come throughs:

DIOR La Mousse OFF/ON Foaming Face Cleanser 5 oz / 150 mLbecause it's a cleaner and makeup remover.  It can also foam up and it doesn't dry out my skin.

Danessa Myricks Beauty Linework Paintbrush Fluid Liquid Eyeliner 0.034 oz / 1 ml A must for my eyeshape and I love a brush tip liner

Danessa Myricks Beauty Yummy Skin Blurring Balm Powder Flushed - Matte Color for Cheek & Lip Creme Bruelee This is a recent love, it's a lip color, a blush, a bronzer

Maison Margiela 'REPLICA' Jazz Club Eau de Toilette with Tobacco Leaf, Pink Pepper, and Rum (this pairs with a few scents, I feel like it's the rum + pepper combo that does it, because it can go with earthy, floral, gourmand and not be too much.  It's also my "patchouli fixer")

Give me 6! (That's the game, but we can be creative) Of these products.  Definitely Post to threads like 🥇🏆🥈🥉🏅 THE HOLY GRAIL THREAD , Sephora Savings Event 2025 Shopping Advice Thread: What’s in Your Basket? Monthly Favorites: March 2025 Edition!

Spoiler
Some of them might make it into my cart, I dunno ..🛒, I'm just so curious 🧐 😂

Re: Sephora Six: Coming Through In a Clench

@faeriegirl  great choices! I really want to try both of those DDG products, they have been on my loves list for a while. I have some samples of the peel pads that I need to dig out and try one of these days!

Re: Sephora Six: Coming Through In a Clench

I honestly thought coming up with this six was gonna be a lot harder than expected but all my "clenches" fits perfectly! (@danielledanielle is a sorcerer and chose the magic number or...)

  1. Being a fake blonde takes a lot of work and lots of patience to keep them oils at bay. Living Proof Perfect hair Day (PhD) Dry Shampoo  has been my ride or die. I think I tried a lot of dry shampoos, esp the popular ones from BIC and ngl, nothing beats this if you have oily, oily scalp like me and don't wash hair for daaaaaaaaaays (yes, guys, I'm gross).
I used this on day 2 and i'm golden until day 4 (now, is my hair living, breathing, and waving? questionable but it's not greasy, i'll tell you that!)
  2. Along with my lack of washing hair (I shower guys, just no washing of the hair) comes the need for a good perfume. KAYALI EDEN SPARKLING LYCHEE | 39 Eau de Parfum 3.4 oz / 100 mL eau de parfum spray  is my absolute favorite. I know this doesn't have that great of a review but I've repurchased this twice now and well into my third bottle. It smells great, lasts (on me), and I really get a LOT of compliments when I wear this (almost every other day...?)
  3. Dieux Instant Angel Lipid & Peptide-Rich Moisturizer + Barrier Repair 3.3 fl oz / 100 ml  I didn't realize what a difference moisturizer makes until this. This has literally repaired my skin and every time something on my face flakes, pop this on and babys butt, here I am
  4. HUDA BEAUTY Lip Blush Cream Lip & Cheek Stain Coral Kiss  I dont think they carry this anymore but I have purchased this maybe 3 times already and 2 in backup. This has been my go-to lips for years. I have one in my car, one in my gym bag, and one in my vanity (that's open). Easy to wear, long lasting, natural tint, does NOT dry the lips out
  5. DIOR Diorshow Iconic Overcurl Mascara 090 Black  (again @danielledanielle just predicting what I'll like or...) this was introduced to me by the boss lady who started this thread. this does NOT run and it actually curls my flat (chested) lashes and coats them so well. absolute love. comes through for me every single day. I'm also going to throw in the #DIOR Diorshow Maximizer 4D Lash Primer-Serum for Length, Volume, Curl & Definition as part of number 5 because @danielledanielle got me hooked on both and my lashes cannot be seen to the naked eyes without this
  6. Last but not least, my Freck Beauty Freck The Original Freckle Freck XL  yup, I'm still drawing them on everyday. The trend is over but I love the look and I love the effect it has on my face. It makes me look young(er?) and it kinda gives me the sporty/boyish look I love. They last a really long time too. I think I'm only on my 3rd bottle and I wear this every. single. day... 😊

Re: Sephora Six: Coming Through In a Clench

@jaaayp  dirty hair girly here lol I can totally relate. Have you tried Drybar Detox Clear Invisible Dry Shampoo 3.5 oz/ 100 g  ? I would say that one was most comparable (to me) to the LP one you love.

Re: Sephora Six: Coming Through In a Clench

@jaaayp I'm also a part of the the "go as long as you possibly can without washing" club. Mine doesn't get crazy oily but my current dry shampoo isn't doing it for me so I might need to pick this one up.

Re: Sephora Six: Coming Through In a Clench

ah YAAAS GIRL @makeitup305 join the clubbbb - which one are you using? I think the Amika one is pretty popular and it works well, I just can't stand the smell.. I've recently tried the dae Fairy Duster Volumizing Dry Shampoo Powder 1 oz / 30 g  and this.... does not do it for me. It does work OK on DAY ONE keeping my oils at bay and day 2, can't even try using it because it does nothing for me at this point LOL

Re: Sephora Six: Coming Through In a Clench

@jaaayp I just ordered the jumbo from Costco for $25, a steal!

Re: Sephora Six: Coming Through In a Clench

@jaaayp I usually just use batiste, which is decent. I tried one from Onove called No Wash which is a liquid gel. That one is more like a refresher, which I like, but won’t do much for super oily or dirty hair. I also tried the non-aerosol dry shampoo from Odele but it leaves my hair a little stickier than I would like.

Re: Sephora Six: Coming Through In a Clench

@jaaayp, ooooh.  Good stuff.

Also, you've always been a Dior girlie, I just woke her up for you 😉

Re: Sephora Six: Coming Through In a Clench

Honestly @danielledanielle I think you did... I think I've literally been transitioning to Dior (foundation, bronzer, lip, etc.) since you put the overcurl on my radar and now my wallet hates you for it... LOL 😘

Re: Sephora Six: Coming Through In a Clench

@jaaayp, OOP...but your face loves it!

Re: Sephora Six: Coming Through In a Clench

These beauties helped me fight back against a heavy bout of seasonal spring allergies 🤧 that irritated my eyes and left my face, especially the sides of my nose, raw, red and dry.

0 - Sephora Six - Clench.jpg

  • Micellar Water - Bioderma Sensibio H2O (🐐) - gentle on my skin and effective at removing / breaking down sunblock and makeup. I've seen a lot more micellar waters come onto the market, and in partiucular, at Sephora, in recent months.

  • Olehenriksen Apres-Ski Multi-Use Rich Rescue Cream (tag isn't coming up for some reason) - I reached for this as a daytime moisturizer on mornings I didn't have time to wait for a face oil to absorb or when my foundation of choice worked better with a cream (vs the oil)

  • Sephora Collection Caffeine Eye Mask (🐐) (discontinued) was particularly great for calming and depuffing my under eyes

Honorable Mentions:

- multiple boxes of tissue

- Touchland Power Mist Hydrating Hand Sanitizer  (🐐

Re: Sephora Six: Coming Through In a Clench

@itsfi Bioderma is the true HG

Re: Sephora Six: Coming Through In a Clench

@itsfi  this is a great list of products! I feel like I have been having more trouble with redness lately, so I am definitely taking notes! Some of these I already was aware of thanks to you, and some are new to me. I'm sorry to hear about your allergy troubles, I hope things improve for you ASAP! 🤗

Re: Sephora Six: Coming Through In a Clench

I'm so sorry you're experiencing more redness of late @caitbird; 'tis the season, it seems. 😣 Whenever my skin gets tempermental, I go back to basics when it comes to my skin care. I usually try to get to the bare minimum amount of products while still giving my skin what it needs. And then build from there once my skin is close to being fully healed. It's usually 2 or 3 items, though sometimes I might add a serum or a post-moisturizer product of some sort to my evening routine to give me an extra boost.

Thank you so much for your well wishes. This has been a much better week all around - at one point earlier, I think I caught a cold along with my allergies - ouch! But, better now. I have a slight cough that creeps up if I've been outdoors for a while but it can usually be remedied with making sure to be hydrated and do some steam inhalation when I get back home.

Re: Sephora Six: Coming Through In a Clench

It's supposedly Spring, but it was 33 degrees this morning for me.  I get vasomotor rhinitis nearly every dramatic change (like 20-30 degree weather changes).  With all these weather changes, seasonal allergies are starting earlier and lasting longer @itsfi , this list is a must for that

Re: Sephora Six: Coming Through In a Clench

omg, 33 degrees? I'm cold for you @danielledanielle - no, seriously, I pondered whether to retrieve my electric blanket ... or just take my laptop with me. 😅

Yesssssss!!!! You get it. Come "spring," I can generally expect two things to happen - (1) my face starts feeling veeeery sensitive to the sun - because I've typically not seen much of it, but this year has been better because I've been doing more walks outdoors leading to the official start of spring and (2) there's at least a few days where seasonal allergies hit me like a ton of bricks. This year has been the worst since I've been in the Bay Area, that I recall, at aleast - and, ohhhh yeaaah, it definitely started earlier and is lasting longer this go around - I was expecting something like this (though less intense) later this month. Ugh. I shall be pulling the different allergy meds closer to the front of my drawer now, and checking the pollen count as part of my morning routine. 🙄 I also need to make sure to up my water intake every day.

I'll post another one of these allergy-related clenchers involving a mist, maybe 2, another time.

Re: Sephora Six: Coming Through In a Clench

@danielledanielle Thank for the tag. Sorry to be so slow, but BIC has been acting up for me and I've been having trouble posting.

One product that I can depend on is Charlotte Tilbury Legendary Brows Tinted Eyebrow Gel . My brows are rather sparse, and the brush on this is thin enough for targeted application. Or, if my brows look unnatural from pencil, a coat of this can fix them up.

I've not been using this long, but I've been impressed lately with Danessa Myricks Beauty Yummy Skin Lift & Flex Hydrating Concealer With Hyaluronic Acid & Caffeine 5   My eyes often look tired due to lack of sleep, and this does a decent job covering dark circles without creasing. It's hydrating and low-maintenance, which I like.

HUDA BEAUTY Easy Bake Blurring Loose Baking & Setting Powder Cherry Blossom  This does a great job brightening up my under eye circles. If I'm tired or looking tired, this is always a go-to product.

When my hair is looking blah, it usually improves somewhat if I throw on some texturizing spray. Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray 8.5 oz/ 300mL  or Davines This is a Dry Texturizing Finishing Spray 8.45 oz / 250 ml

If my skin is looking dull, I perceive an improvement when I slap on some highlighter. HAUS LABS BY LADY GAGA Bio-Radiant Glassy Balm Highlighter Stick  has been doing the trick lately.

If my skin is looking flaky or dull, I love to refresh it in the mornings with Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare Alpha Beta® Extra Strength Daily Peel Pads

Re: Sephora Six: Coming Through In a Clench

@PrettyPaint  great list! Some of these are definitely on my list to try, like the Huda Beauty setting powder and the DDG pads. I know I have some samples of the pads somewhere, so I will have to dig them out to give them a try - I feel like my skin could definitely use them these days!

Re: Sephora Six: Coming Through In a Clench

@caitbird I hope you can find your sample! They are really great!

Re: Sephora Six: Coming Through In a Clench

@PrettyPaint, sorry to hear about your board troubles.  It's been a trial, for sure, so thanks for replying with all the issues.

The DDGs pads are def HG, I feel like that's another fixer for me, too

Re: Sephora Six: Coming Through In a Clench

@danielledanielle Yep, once I tried the DDG pads, they are a product I will probably always purchase! 🙂
