Product to even out skin tone!!

I have combination skin and have been searching for a product that is light but helps even out my skin. I have fair skin and freckles, so I don’t love using foundation because it covers them up:) I have been using the clinque BB gel and like it so far but it does turn a little orange. If anyone knows of any good products please help a girl out! I attached a picture of me when I have makeup on. My skin will look nice when I wake up but throughout the day it gets red, oily, and just not cute.

Re: Product to even out skin tone!!

I second the Kosas Tinted Facial Oil.  I also have issues with uneven skin tone, especially in the winter months, and have never liked the feeling/look of a full coverage foundation. This is the one product that I have found that does the trick without causing me to break out.  The beauty of it is that it allows the "character" of your complexion to show.  I wear it over Supergoop Zincscreen and have no issues with pilling.

RE: Product to even out skin tone!!

Hey girl, I’d recommend the following: Drunk elephant d-bronzi. You just mix it into a skincare serum before your day moisturizer and it’ll give you a little glow. I think it helps even out my skin tone but you’ll have to try it for yourself. You only need a little drop. Ilia Serum Tint with SPF. This one just came out and I think it makes you really glowy without looking oily. Glossier skin tint. One of my favorites hands down and gives a natural finish that isn’t matte or dewy. Plus the shades are really forgiving and you can even apply it with your fingers. Nars pure radiance tinted moisturizer. I find this one to be a little more moisturizing so you’ll have to see if you like the finish. There is also the bare minerals complexion rescue tint but I find this one to also be more moisturizing. You’ll have to see if it is a good for for your skin. But does give a nice glow. More of a fall/winter product for me than in the summer. I hope you find something that works for you!

Product to even out skin tone!!

I like Dr. Jart Color Correcting Treatment, but it's kinda moisturizing and I don't know if it covers freckles. One thing you might consider is a powder foundation that you can carry with you, and apply it later in the day as your skincare products get sweated off. I can't recommend any one in particular since the one I used when I was young and cute got discontinued, but it's a good idea to remember that you don't have to put something on in the morning when you don't need it, you can stash something in your purse for later.

Re: Product to even out skin tone!!

@megbegler  if your skin starts nice but gets red throughout the day I guess my question is what is our skincare routine like? With a few tweaks there you might be good to go all day!

Otherwise my fave for light coverage is KOSAS - Tinted Face Oil Foundation The shade range is limited but it mostly works since it doesn't need to be an exact match at this coverage level. The downside is it can pill a lot of primers and even some moisturizers and will show any and all dry patches so your skincare game has to be pretty airtight

ILIA Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 40 Skincare Foundation Kokkini ST12 has a better range and is a little more forgiving in the looks department, plus as a bonus it has some light SPF coverage. The downside on this one is it's a little sticky/ heavier feeling for me. It dries down nice but I prefer the feel of the Kosas

Some people might suggest IT Cosmetics CC+ Cream Full Coverage Color Correcting Foundation with SPF 50+ Medium as it is very popular, but I would stay away from that one as it's going to be way too high coverage for what you're looking for

Finally, if you apply your foundation with a brush, you can thin it out (and lighten the coverage/ let frekles peek through) by spraying your brush with toner before dipping it into your makeup. That can help thin out a lot of light to medium coverage foundations to the level your looking for. NARS Sheer Glow Foundation Barcelona would be my top pick in a more traditional formula but it's heavier coverage than the Kosas or the Ilia (still lighter than the IT cosmetics though). NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30 St. Moritz is also a super popular option but I discontinued using it because like your Clinique option it oxidized and looked a little orange on me, but I also have a yellow skin undertone. If your undertone is more pink or peachy it might work if you get the same shade in a slightly more yellow undertone than you would usually buy
