That was sooo hard! It made me realize that I usually use 15-20 products for everyday makeup. I had no idea I had become so high-maintenance lol 😂 

Looks like I’m applying all my makeup with fingers because I couldn’t afford to give any of my 10 slots to makeup brushes!

Wow, okay so this is ptsd inducing.  I actually did lose all my makeup once.  Back when I didn’t have a whole lot (but still enough) and we were travelling to Italy. My backpack was stolen off the train while I was sleeping containing everything I had acquired up until that point.  Over ten thousand dollars to replace most of it, but I think I spent $1000 on the trip to replace what i needed for the remainder of the trip.  It wasn’t on what I would have preferred to buy but more out of necessity and on what was available to me to purchase.  

Hmmmmm... now though.... I have to think on that.

Omg! On vacation no less...I don't even understand what someone would want with another persons make up.

@GG84  I think they were more after whatever valuables they might find (money, phones, jewellery laptop) than they were after my makeup.  Luckily I had most of that stuff tucked away in another bag under my feet.

Can I just say that the first thing I'd do if someone had stolen my bag (even just the makeup stuff one :P) would be harassing security to give me any camera footage available so I could CHASE THAT THIEF DOWN AND BEAT THEM WITH A SHOE!! ?? 😉 I'm dangerous with a flip flop. 😉 😉

@PinkEvergreen - It's actually a liquid lipstick, not a powder. Apologies for the confusion heh. The formula is like a more transfer-resistant Burberry Liquid Lip Velvet. Unfortunately Marie Dalgar is only available in Sephora China which sucks cause these are some of the best LL I've tried.

1. Lancôme Clis XL booster - such a good primer for mascara. Before I started using this, my mascara would smudge by the end of the day and get inside my eyes. Such a nightmare for someone like me who wears contact lenses! I love this product.

2. Too Faced Sweet Peach eyeshadow palette - my everyday palette with such great shades and smells so nice.

3. Tarte Maneater mascara

Lol, I completely messed up the name of the product in my post, but yes, it’s a total must have for me! For anyone interested in trying it out, I would recommend applying a small amount on each side and then applying your mascara immediately after. It dries very quickly so you don’t have to wait a long time to apply your mascara.

I believe it’s normally $25, but it’ll be half off this Tuesday, Sept. 11th at Ulta as part of their 21 days of beauty sale.

What fun! Thank goodness this doesn't include skincare, because I'd be in trouble.  I'm sticking with my go-to everyday products, which eliminates the need for contour, highlighter, etc. And the single upside to having rosacea is that I don't need to buy blush! I've chosen a versatile eyeshadow palette to keep things interesting since my base is so low-maintenance. I'm also mixing in my favorite drugstore products so I don't break the bank right away:

3. NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer (would use for the undereye area, on spots that the Glossier won't cover, and as eyeshadow base)

1. Benefit Cosmetics Precisely, My Brow Pencil Waterproof Eyebrow Definer Shade 3.5 - this is priority number 1. The rest of this list is in no particular order. 

2. Primer: it’s hard to pick one that’ll work for my alligator skin under eyes (where my skin’s the driest) and oily nose area (where my big pores are). Tatcha The Silk Canvas Protective Primer 0.7 oz/ 20 g might cover both bases. 

3. NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer Biscuit  

4. Setting powder: either Hourglass Veil™ Translucent Setting Powder - Talc Free Translucent, BECCA - Hydra-Mist Set & Refresh Powder,or CHARLOTTE TILBURY - Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder. All 3 work under my eyes. For this list, I’ll pick the Hourglass powder since I’ve used it most often lately.  

5. MAKE UP FOR EVER 234 Angled Shader Brush - double duty as concealer blender and powder packer. 

6. Lipstick Queen Frog Prince 

7. MAC satin lipstick in Rebel 

8. Viseart Eyeshadow Palette 01 Neutral Matte, Dark Mattes - 3 shades can work as blushes in a pinch; 1 shade can cover Silk Canvas’s white cast around my nose; and of course it works for my eyes. 

9. MAC 217 blending brush 

10. MAC 208 angled brow brush - works as a liner brush for me, and I also use it to precisely apply tiny amounts of concealer. 

This list would keep me content while I work on replacing lots of other makeup.
