Bronzer placement

Bronzer confusion

So, I’ve been trying to get into makeup and it’s going okay, the only thing is I’m not sure on how to do bronzer.

I don’t know if it’s product, or my brush, or my technique but something isn’t adding up.

Re: Bronzer placement

@Bohannon01 @You don’t need to put a lot on. It’s usually the shape of a 3 on either side of your face. Then you can add it to your forehead, top of your nose, and chin. Some people love using contour on their eyelids for dimension.

for the sides of your face I think you may have gone too low. You can apply foundation on top of it to smooth out the bronzer on the bottom cheek part. The forehead looks fine but you could blend it out more if it looks too harsh.

Re: Bronzer placement

@Bohannon01 I think your placement on your forehead is great. I agree with @danielledanielle . I like to apply bronzer wherever the sun naturally hits my face. I go a little higher on my cheeks. I like to use a cream bronzer with a brush in tapping motion, as a first step (before foundation) and then blend my foundation around it and along the edges of where the bronzer in, to 'melt' it together for a cohesive look. If I want to add more intensity to the bronzer/set it, I go in with a fluffy brush and powder bronzer over top of where I applied the cream. Keep practicing and see what works for you!!

Re: Bronzer placement

@Bohannon01 , you place bronzer where you typically tan.  For some people that's the cheeks and nose, and/or forehead.  For others it could be near their eyes, which I never thought about until @Mellmars1185 pointed it out

Are you using a cream, liquid or powder? The placement seems low, but depending how you blend it out, it still adds warmth

I remember learning you use it as a "3" or c shape on the perimeter of your face, which kind of works 🤷🏽‍♀️..

You can also try googling you face shape (oval?round? square? heart shaped?, etc) with "face map for Bronzer" or bronzer for ____ face shape

This is a Sephora YT video (they have great tutorials) about Bronzer and contour.
