best shade of lipstick to wear with a green dress??

It turned out great @evefulford ! I wore an emerald green dress to my senior prom and I still remember it fondly.

@evefulford If you're confident in pulling off a high-contrast look, a fuschia/magenta/purple-leaning lip color could be quite eye catching.

@ibblej Love all these looks!  On Project Runway I've heard the judges tsk the contestants many times when they chose green, b/c they sd it was the least popular selling color when a cover girl on a magazine wore it.  I love green!  I think it should be on every red carpet - such an underrated color.

Red would make me think of Christmas but it depends on the colour of the dress and the specific red. I think pinks or nudes would work well with green dresses.

I should add that if you have a cool green dress, use a cool red with bluish undertones and if you have a warm green dress, use a warm red with orange undertones. You can see this in the above examples 🙂

Personally if I was wearing a green dress I would probably go with a nude lip and focus on doing a vibrant eyeshadow look, perhaps with gold? (I suggest gold because I'm picturing an emerald/forest green color, so I think those would pair well together, but this is highly dependent on the shade of green your dress is.) (:
