July 22 - What is your favourite lipstick formula (mattes, satins, glosses, sheer, stain..etc). I still love mattes; but as I've gotten older my lips prefer semi-mattes and satins (bullet, not liquid).

July 23 - Are there any shades that you would like to add to your collection.  I am still looking for a purple lipstick.

Thanks, @missjeanie !  I'll know it when I see it??? 🤣  I don't want something super dark.  Purple, lilac, lavendar; more in the blue undertone, but not gray (or not too gray or ashy; lipsticks with those colorings don't look too good on me).  Purple with red undertones aren't really what I have in mind.  They kind of get away from purple and more toward burgundy.  Bite had a lipstick bullet called Thistle (I think) that came close, but it was too...ashy? or gray?  I no longer have it or I could swatch it.  Despite all this, I am open! 🙂

A few random swatches for your perusal.  At first I thought that Pat McGrath Luxetrance in Madam Greige would be close, but after swatching I'm not so sure @Titian06 .  I avoided any full on purples, but I think I'd classify as Mauve/nude/pink snuck in.

My thoughts:

Pat McGrath Madam Greige - This might work if it had more purple.

Mac Captive - Too red leaning (I have a couple of these colors and love them!)

Mac Syrup - Too red/pink

Bite Mauvember - I really like this one!  I have always regretted not getting it (I very rarely have regrets)

Nars Audacious Anna - Too mauve.

Nars Audacious Kate - I had this one, but could not get the color to work.  I don't know why; I have a neutral undertone.  It just seemed to clash.

KVD liquid lipstick in lovesick - Too pink/mauve. 

Sephora Collection Cream Lipstain in 35 - Oooo...I like this one.  Also, this color in a lighter shade would be great.

Melt Cosmetics Liquid Lipstick in Chick Habit - I like this one too.

Thanks again missjeanie!  I can't believe I found a couple I like!  I haven't looked to see if they're still available; but even if they're not, it gives me hope. 🙂

I 100% know that feeling of "I'll know it when I see it". I'll try and take a peek through some of my purples when I get home and see if I have anything that may fit!  I feel like I know what you mean by Bite Thistle with a little less grey.

July 22 - Favorite formula, sheer colored with lots of hydration. 

July 23 - Shades I would like to add to my collection are the Fenty Lip Stains in my basket. I'm looking at Zesty Besty 😍 and a few others. 😉

I ordered 2, which is risky since I haven't tried them 😉 but everything I'm reading and the input from @Mellmars1185 makes me think they'll be a good match for me. @missjeanie I want a low maintaince lip colour that lasts (😄 and won't dry out my lips)

July 23 - I'd like to add more nudes. I received HUDA BEAUTY Power Bullet Cream Glow Hydrating Lipstick Sweet Cheeks  in a beauty advent calendar this past year.  'Sweet Cheeks' was the perfect shade for my introduction to nude shades.

July 23 - I would definitely like to add more  pink to my collection. I have a lot of nude shades. I really like how Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Poutsicle Hydrating Lip Stain Mai Type  looks. I am also thinking of picking up another blur shade Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Matte Lip Blur Liquid Lipstick Rose Blur

I have the opposite problem @Mellmars1185 . I have many bold shades but not enough nude shades. I would like to add some more pink tone nudes to my collection. Some of my new favorites are ROSE INC Lip Cream Longwearing Matte Liquid Lipstick with Squalane  in of stars and kiss and part. I also like Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Matte Lip Blur Liquid Lipstick  in pillow talk.
