Looking for the best lip product/treatment for dry lips.

I am looking for a really good lip product that doesn’t dry your lips out in the long run, looking for something that actually works to soften/hydrate your lips.

@RebeccaAnnGrace  A petrolatum-based balm applied to damp (with water, not saliva) lips will keep lips moisturized for hours. Bonus points if the balm contains a hydrating ingredient like hyaluronic acid or lanolin. My AM & PM lip balm is Aquaphor Ointment—not the one marketed as lip balm (though that also works well for some folks), just the regular ointment. Aquaphor contains lanolin, so avoid it if your skin's sensitive to that ingredient. 

Some people prefer CeraVe Healing Ointment which contains hyaluronic acid and ceramides; it has a slightly thinner, more emollient texture than Aquaphor. Also, plain ol' Vaseline works if you don't mind its texture. 

Normally I'd also recommend the antioxidant + hydration product I use each night as a lip serum, but it's been discontinued with no replacement by the brand. I've been testing a different product as a serum, though it's marketed as a lip mask: Tatcha The Kissu Lip Mask. I've used it before as a lip mask but it wasn't moisturizing enough for me (my lips demand petrolatum), so now I'm trying it as a serum under Aquaphor. Kissu has a weird jelly texture that's very emollient, thanks to the squalane + oils it contains. Squalane's actually a good moisturizer, but in Kissu's formulation it's not enough for my lips. Still, Kissu contains some antioxidant and hydrating/humectant ingredients.

@RebeccaAnnGrace I like LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask Intense Hydration with Vitamin C  .  I apply it morning and night.  In the afternoons I apply LANEIGE Lip Glowy Lightweight Hydration Balm with Shea Butter  ,but I don't think it would be enough for you right now.  Before bed, I layer Aquaphor Healing Ointment over the lip mask.  When my lips got very dry this winter, that Aquaphor really helped.  I applied it in the evenings while watching TV and it was a saving grace.  I also like to apply Palmer's Cocoa Butter stick (the one that looks like a glue stick) while at work - it's good for on the go.

I highly recommend Too Faced Hangover Pillow Balm Ultra-Hydrating Lip Balm @RebeccaAnnGrace . I am a recent convert to this lip balm. I have Chocolate Kiss, Banana Kiss and Watermelon Kiss. Only the Watermelon Kiss shade has a light tint. Once again I need to thank @QueenMarceline and @Skunk12puzzola for the awesome recommendations. It is truly live changing.

Hi @RebeccaAnnGrace I have a lip balm obsession, I own more than 30. I can suggest you aquaphor ointment (the big tube one). You can use it also on the corner of the mouth and it really works. Then, I really like these ones Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Kiss Cupuaçu Lip Butter 0.21 oz/ 6.2g  fresh Sugar Mint Rush Freshening Lip Treatment .15 oz / 4.3 g  Too Faced Hangover Pillow Balm Ultra-Hydrating Lip Balm Original  LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask Intense Hydration with Vitamin C Vanilla  . I also really like carmex lip balm (the tube ones) and nuxe very rose lip balm (a little hard to find, but it's worth it)....hope this helps 💞
