Do you guys recommend for oily skin?

I want to in the k beauty industry and find some skincare for oily skin!

Re: Do you guys recommend for oily skin?

Is there a specific product category you're interested in, @grah4m? Are you looking more for base products (cleanser, moisturizer, sunscreen) or for treatment products (toners, serums, masks)?

Re: Do you guys recommend for oily skin?

I have mostly oily skin people in my life so I can give a few things that is a fool-proof hit when I suggest things:

  • Rovectin - probably the most gentle skincare products I've ever used & products from their cleanser to multiple moisturizers are LOVED by everyone I have put onto the brand. They have convenient filters on their website to steer you towards items that they personally suggest for different skin types - I use a lot of those products too as a dry + sensitive skin person & love them as well.
  • Peach Slices - their Snail Rescue line (toner & wash off mask) are the products that keep my oily skin friends on the snail trailers (as I like to call snail mucin enthusiasts).
  • CosRX - their Snail 92 and 96 products are the gold standard for snail mucin products in my opinion - has saved  multiple friends' skins! For toner, their Propolis and Hydrium ones are lovely too, not at all heavy in application.
  • iUniK: they have a really nice green tea calming serum that I always fall back to for myself and having people of all skin types borrow as well.
  • Pyunkang Yul: I've used the calming line toner, moisturizer and serum on an oily skin person for several days and they enjoyed using it - the moisturizer is quite light for how much calming impact it has immediately on the skin.
  • Beauty  of Joseon: the Rice sunscreen - I know online it's a mixed bag if people say this is good or not so great for oily skin, but everyone I have had try this (even the sunscreen haters) LOVE THIS & are converted to committing to this year round.
  • Canmake [Japanese] - their Mermaid sunscreen that's clear is amazing for all skin types from observation and feedback I got when I had people use it for an outdoor wedding photoshoot makeup primer.
  • Naturium is a US based Asian founded skincare brand everyone I introduce them to loves, and they have a new sunscreen that's meant to be oily skin friendlier (not too high dewy/ shine a finish). The original dewy sunscreen moisturizer is fine on oily skin as well since I had someone borrow it a couple of times and it was great for their skin.
  • Krave Beauty is another US based Asian founded skincare brand that has a Great Barrier Relief serum that's designed to be soothing for all skin types. I personally love the sunscreen & it looked great on the skin of an oily skinned person I let borrow it one time.

Quite a bit more than I expected to suggest - hope it helps you find some stuff to try out 🙂
And feel free to message me if you want to know where to buy things if you're unsure where to begin looking for the best prices.

Is the laneige water bank moisturizer good?

Re: Do you guys recommend for oily skin?

I've heard from a few people it's a bit of a underwhelming moisturizer for the price - but that especially for skin that isn't super super dry it is a decent choice if you want to try it out.
