Hello BIC! This is the official thread for the brand new - exclusive to Sephora - makeup line GXVE by Gwen Stefani. This thread is a dedicated place for gratis recipients to share their feedback, unboxings, and swatches for the incoming GXVE by Gwen Stefani products.  Let's get B-A-N-A-N-A-S and dive right in!

So stunning @faeriegirl!! I am sorry that the brow products don’t work for you. They are too dark for you and they may be too light for me. I will have to wait to see! Some first impressions!

My package was dropped off early this morning which meant I could test out a few today before going in to the office this afternoon.
-Face Oil - This has a really nice fragrance to it.  I'm unsure how to describe it, lightly warm with a bit of floral?  I'm not normally a fan of floral, but I really enjoy this scent.  I have quite dry skin, especially in winter so I am probably most excited for this product.  I put this on and let it soak in for about 15 minutes before moving in to make up.  It's let my make up sit nicely on it all day and even after wearing a face mask for about 4 hours this afternoon my skin isn't getting flaky dry just yet.  So far this is great.
- Instant Definition sculpting brow pencil - I switched over to just a tinted brow gel a few years ago now, but I'm not mad at trying a few pencils.  this is the pencil with the fatter tip of the two available.  The shape of the pencil was quite different, it's about 5mm long and tear drop shaped.  I have to admit that at first I used the broad side almost to 'stamp' in the shape of the front of my brow and then tried to use the edge to draw down the tail.  I found the shape kind of awkward, but I'm feeling like it may just be because I'm not used to it.  I'm going to forgo my usual brow gel for a bit and see if I can get the hang of this.  The spoolie on the opposite end was great.  I had shade 5 warm deep brown and it suited me well.
-Eye See In Colour Simple kind of Life - I'm a fan of matte shadows and cool tones so I was quite happy to try this out.  I did notice that there was a bit of 'dust' on the compact when I opened it so I had a feeling they would be quite powdery and they did have a bit of kick up in the pan.  I didn't have any fall out on my face as I applied them though.  They are all quite close in colour and not super highly pigmented.  I actually don't mind the lack of pigment as it makes it easy to do a quick eye without having to be careful about how much product I pick up.  I do however think that these work for me, someone who's on the paler end of the range of skin tones.  I wonder if they'd look ashy on someone who's got a medium or deeper complexion, or if they'd even show up?  The shades are very close to each other and I wonder if a bit more variety would be more of a crowd pleaser? I did not use a shadow primer today as it's a step I've been skipping lately and the shadow held up well for 8 hours with no creasing. 
- Line it up Gel Pencil - Black - The caps were hard to take off of the liners, but given how creamy they are, I have to think that's on purpose to keep them from drying out.  I used black today since blue liner and red lip is a lot more colour than I'm used to at once.  The liner was very black, very easy to apply, and almost over apply.  It smudged out a bit nicely and I likely could have smudged it even more.  Given how easily it smudged, I was worried it would be all over the place an hour later, but it set nicely. I'm curious to try the blue tomorrow now.  
- I'm still here in Original Red - Liquid Lipstick.  I have tried to like liquid lips.  I'm just a balm and gloss girl at heart.  I put this on today knowing that I'd be wearing a mask later on and figured it was the best shot to see how good it really was.  I found that this dried down to a matte finish, so I'm not sure why it says vinyl in the description.  This lasted okay through my first meal with only a bit of wear in the middle of my lips.  I added another light layer to cover the missing spot after lunch and went in to the office.  After 4 hours in a mask, this was wearing away and crumbly in many areas.  I also had little bits of lipstick that were not there earlier in the crevices of my teeth.  I can't say this is converting me to a liquid lip gal.  I'm glad I gave it a shot, but it's not for me.  Now, the shade I actually didn't mind.  I usually wear mauve's or berry  shades.  The odd blue or black.  Red is one that I find an easy pass. Just not my jam.  But ... I liked that this was a bit more blue based and I'm excited to try the bullet versions.  

Overall, I find the shadow shades suit my style and the liner and brow pencil are nice.  The facial oil is my favourite up to now.  I'm very much looking forward to trying out more of the gratis and getting a full feel for everything.
