Sephora products great to your skin not for your bank account

All of the products at Sephora are great in quality but some of the products you can the same quality at Target for half the price. Don’t get me wrong I love Sephora I was there just yesterday. I just wish they would lower the price just a little. When I went yesterday there was a lipstick for $40.So if you go I would suggest staying with the Sephora products not like Dior or NARS if your just want good quality that makeup look if you want to  look like you have nothing on your face. Sry it’s just the truth .🫤🤑$

I'll definitely say that yes, I agree with @YoutubeShorts that Sephora sells some products that are WAY overpriced - I mean, if you take a look at the ingredient lists/formulations of some of the top-selling name-brand products, they're almost identical to their cheaper, non-name brand counterparts. However, as others have mentioned, Sephora has more affordable brands like the Inkey List and The Ordinary, and all the products I've tried from those brands have been great (special shoutout to the slightly ominous-looking but amazing The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Exfoliating Peeling Solution 1 oz/ 30 mL). 

With Sephora Collection, yes, the price is often great, but their products are hit or miss. I received some clean beauty products (namely the Sephora Collection Clean Bouncy Palette) from Sephora as part of a gratis package, and they lacked pigmentation and staying power. However, some of their skincare products such as the SEPHORA COLLECTION Face Serum or SEPHORA COLLECTION Brightening Eye Cream with Caffeine and Hyaluronic Acid 0.67 oz/ 20mL are great! Again, it's probably that they use tried-and-true ingredients like hyaluronic acid, just like the more expensive companies, so their products are a lower price, but still just as effective. 

I would also keep on the lookout for promos/sales specifically for Beauty Insiders. You often don't even need to be VIB or Rouge to access these, and you can get some great deals! For example, right now, there's an additional 20% off all sale items, and with over 500 items currently on sale, you'll be sure to find something to love, in-store or online.

@YoutubeShorts  Eh, there's some overpriced stuff at Target too. 😉 And no, I'm not just talking about certain "Ulta at Target" items. Some of the makeup items priced $12-15 aren't worth even that price (in my opinion, having tested them myself). Ditto for some of the skincare priced $15+. You'll find overpriced products anywhere you go, depending on your own value-for-price criteria and, in some cases, what's actually in products vs. less expensive options with similar ingredients. 

That said, I'm a firm believer that high price ≠ top quality and low price ≠ worst quality. Some higher priced items are worth the cost for their performance and results, and some lower priced items are garbage. But I can truthfully interchange the subjects in that sentence, too. My favorite example (aside from skincare) is eyeshadow, and I'll pick on Hourglass again here: they think too highly of their mid-road shadow formulas, based on their pricing. Their shadows aren't awful but, now that I've tested a few of 'em, I'll say there are less expensive shadows/palettes that outperform Hourglass's. On the other hand, Pat McGrath's eyeshadows are (for the most part) worth their price tag to me for their overall performance. I'm not a big fan of Urban Decay's palettes—their shadows are too hit or miss for me, and some are downright terrible—or ABH for that matter, but I do enjoy Natasha Denona's. I also love some palettes by UOMA and ColourPop. 🤷‍♀️ 

All that rambling = price isn't the only indicator of quality, whether you think "high price is better quality" or "all low price items perform the same as all high price stuff." Neither statement is true. It all depends on your own product criteria and budget/price cap.

And some are duds but if anyone has a kid and they are just introducing makeup target is a good substitute and the brushes are way more affordable. Hope helped you understand the point of my post. 😃

@YoutubeShorts  Well, it would be naive to think ALL products released at Sephora are great quality.  Lots of duds are released across all brands though many many holy grails can be found there.  

That being said, Sephora Collection products are great value for your money and tend to be pretty reliable- especially their recent skincare releases.  Their eye cream is incredible and so are their blushes and the Big by Definition mascara.   Their Sephora pro brushes are up there amongst my favourite brushes.
Dior and Nars both have a place in my heart.  Everyone has their own preference as to what they want their finished look to be.  Sometimes subtle is the goal and sometimes it’s mega pigmented. Neither is better or worse than the other.   
I would also suggest Inkey List or The Ordinary for skincare that’s drugstore priced at Sephora if one is searching for active ingredients and not name brands specifically.  SEPHORA COLLECTION Brightening Eye Cream with Caffeine and Hyaluronic Acid 0.67 oz/ 20mL SEPHORA COLLECTION Big By Definition Defining & Volumizing Mascara Ultra Black - black
