Holiday Greetings to the lovely people of BIC whichever holiday you celebrate! 

As many of you are aware, @TeamBIC has this naughty little habit of turning into a bunch of festive elves and spoiling a random number of active BIC community contributors with a surprise holiday treat come this time of year!  Yeah the imagery is there of TeamBIC in pointy green hats making the magic happen while sipping on hot cocoa.

I’m sure all of you are eager to see what they’ve been up to this season!  I know I am!  They never fail to impress me with their creative box designs (my inner cat loves the boxes as much as the contents) Of course the contents are always wonderful too;);)

This thread is for expressing your community excitement, making wild or educated sleuthed-out guesses as to what could be inside  and for sharing with the community, photos of any gifts you receive, and also for congratulating other community members on their awesome luck and for making BIC the beauty haven it is!   

And once people have had a chance to try out their…ahhhh thé suspense is too much!!!😝, this is a great place to both write and read the best quality product reviews!  It doesn’t get more honest than from the mouths of BIC members you talk to everyday and who know exactly what kind of information you like!  It’s also a great place to ask questions on any products members have received and know you’ll get a speedy response!

Speaking of gratis that works for me, I have been wearing the Kilian Apple Brandy fragrance from last year all week!!!  A continuous thank you to @TeamBIC for every single time I smell like spicy mince meat tarts🥰🥰🥰🥧

Also, I heard someone say today they finished their holiday shopping.  Show of hands, who’s finished or, ahem… started their holiday shopping?  😆✋🏻 I started and am nowhere near finished status; as collected and organized as that would be.

@Ispend2much6 congrats on this gratis, and i'm so so happy to hear these products are working for you! i totally understand how you feel - i went through a period of pretty aggressive hair loss many years ago (i refer to it as the era of many hats), and it can be frustrating trying to predict growth and loss patterns. celebrating your holiday hair and return of normal!!

Holiday 2022 Gratis

Wanted to take a few minutes before the season passes us by (my word, this month is flying), to send a huuuuge thank you to TeamBIC for this astonishing holiday hair care package. I received this gorgeous box of goodies last week. So that I could start putting everything to use right away, I packed everything, EVERY. THING. with me! Wowwy, wow, wow, wow, TeamBIC!! Had some time last night to try to put into words my gratitude for this incredible gratis.

Grateful for each of you, @CarolBT, @AlexBT, @GeorginaBT, @LexBT, and for all that you do day in and day out to foster goodness and goodwill throughout this Community - in the most joyous of times and in our challenging ones. Thank you for blowing us away time and time again, not just with this bountiful bevy of hair care beauties, but with your commitment and efforts to making this little part of the internet a cut above! 

Rest a-sheared that these goodies have been put to use and will remain a consistent part of my routine for the remainder of this year and throughout the next. First impressions have been good so far and updates will follow.

I usually let my hair air dry, but I find myself reaching for a hair dryer in the cooler months and even more so lately as I'm more often than not rushing out the door - a few extra minutes under the covers certainly makes for a more harried morning! Thanks to the water-wicking hair wrap and the magic that is theDrybar Buttercup Blow-Dryer, I've been able to cut down that drying time! 

I am a big fan of the JVN hair care collection - his products smell wonderful and perform beautifully, and this JVN Complete Blowout Styling Milk 3 oz / 90 mL is no exception (though those who are sensitive to fragrance may not be a fan of this since the scent is fairly pronounced). It's a fabulous complement as a heat protectant to Drybar Buttercup and my other styling tools. I love that it's lightweight, doesn't weigh my hair down or make it look or feel greasy. Instead, my hair feels softer, looks fuller and bouncier even, when I use this (and I really should be using a heat protectant like this, in general, but especially now that I'm coloring / highlighting my hair). A little goes a long way so this bottle is sure to last me a while.

This isn't my first time with Moroccanoil Moroccanoil Treatment Hair Oil, but it has been a good while since I first used it. This original version can be a bit heavy on my hair (and my recollection is that the scent, while lovely, can be a bit too much for me at times); that said, I'm prepared to give this another go - if I'm remembering right, it has been more than 5 years since I first tried this item, so who knows?! This might work out better this go around. If not, my Plan B is to use this as a cuticle oil and maybe a body oil, too.

I've only been able to put the K18 Biomimetic Hairscience Molecular Hair Repair Value Set – Full-Size Repair Mask & Free Travel Detox Shampoo (K18 Leave-in Molecular Repair Hair Mask and the K18 Peptide Prep Clarifying Detox Shampoo) to the test once but so far, so good. My hair and scalp feel cleansed and clear but not stripped after using the detox shampoo. The hair mask did make my hair feel soft and smooth after this first use and I'm interested in seeing how it fares with regular, consistent use. Stay tuned! 

There were a lot of "oooh"s and "aaaahhh"s as I was going through the goodies in this gratis. One of the beauties that stood out immediately for me was the OUAI Hydrating Scalp Serum for Healthy, Fuller Looking Hair 2 oz / 60 mL. With my hair now undergoing a chemical process on a semi-regular basis and my more frequent use of heat styling products, a serum like this, with its marvelous set of ingredients (ginseng and chaga mushroom for hydration and healthier hair; red clover flower extract to soothe the scalp and peptides to repair and regenerate) can be an ideal fit and I'm excited to put this serum to the test. Since the literature on this makes reference to findings based on consumer studies lasting approximately 12-16 weeks, I plan to do my own 12-16 week testing and will report back with how this serum fared for me afterwards. I'm particularly interested in seeing how the claims of less shedding hold up. 

I purchased a silk pillowcase for myself a year, maybe two years ?, ago and wow! It's definitely one of those tools that fall under the category of "wish I had come upon this earlier!" What a difference it has made both for my hair and skin. I was thrilled to see pillowcase in this gratis box (thank you, thank you!) and wasted no time packing it with me. Yes, I'm that person that packs her own pillowcase with her on trips. I'm sorry; actually, no, I'm not. I like to have something from home with me and my pillowcase is often one of those things. This will be my designated travel pillowcase - how cute is the print on it too?!! 😍
