Holiday Greetings to the lovely people of BIC whichever holiday you celebrate! 

As many of you are aware, @TeamBIC has this naughty little habit of turning into a bunch of festive elves and spoiling a random number of active BIC community contributors with a surprise holiday treat come this time of year!  Yeah the imagery is there of TeamBIC in pointy green hats making the magic happen while sipping on hot cocoa.

I’m sure all of you are eager to see what they’ve been up to this season!  I know I am!  They never fail to impress me with their creative box designs (my inner cat loves the boxes as much as the contents) Of course the contents are always wonderful too;);)

This thread is for expressing your community excitement, making wild or educated sleuthed-out guesses as to what could be inside  and for sharing with the community, photos of any gifts you receive, and also for congratulating other community members on their awesome luck and for making BIC the beauty haven it is!   

And once people have had a chance to try out their…ahhhh thé suspense is too much!!!😝, this is a great place to both write and read the best quality product reviews!  It doesn’t get more honest than from the mouths of BIC members you talk to everyday and who know exactly what kind of information you like!  It’s also a great place to ask questions on any products members have received and know you’ll get a speedy response!

Speaking of gratis that works for me, I have been wearing the Kilian Apple Brandy fragrance from last year all week!!!  A continuous thank you to @TeamBIC for every single time I smell like spicy mince meat tarts🥰🥰🥰🥧

Also, I heard someone say today they finished their holiday shopping.  Show of hands, who’s finished or, ahem… started their holiday shopping?  😆✋🏻 I started and am nowhere near finished status; as collected and organized as that would be.

@itsfi  This post is so endearingly punny and well spoken!  Its been sooo busy this year!!!  I’m glad you were able to put a little time aside to sit down and relax with a warm drink and delve into the box of wonderous hair goodies!  

Everything is outrageously generous and somehow there are no ‘not-for-me’s which is unheard of!!!!   
I’m also reaching for the hair dryer a lot!!!  I’m trying to stay away from heat as much as possible (shiny hair you will be mine!) and the cool air feature combined with the blowing intensity is perfect for speeding along the air drying process with minimal damage!  My poor Dyson is jealous!  It’ll still get love when I want to use the diffuser for waves cause I haven’t invested in the Drybar diffuser (yet) so it’s still useful (for now😭).

little update, as i've used some of the products multiple times now!

the JVN Complete Blowout Styling Milk 3 oz / 90 mL has officially moved into potential HG/will absolutely repurchase territory! admittedly, i let my hair air dry last time i used it, and i still had such soft and shiny hair! i decided not to keep it in my gym bag (is there a mini? maybe ill decant some into a smaller container), and i could tell right away that my hair felt differently versus when i used it. 

the #K18 Biomimetic Hairscience PEPTIDE PREP™ Clarifying Detox Shampoo 8.5 oz / 250 mL is also moving into my HG territory. i use a lot of scalp products for hydration, regrowth, thinning etc and after using this twice, i can feel just how clean my hair and scalp is, without sacrificing hydration (most detox shampoos work well on me but are quite drying so i need to follow up with a deep condition)

finally, noticed a few people have purchased the Drybar The Bouncer Diffuser to go with the Buttercup. I actually purchased that for my mom back when i bought her the Buttercup. Shes a 3A hair type, and she loves it/says it works wonders for her, so i'm hoping youll all love it too! i was not blessed with the same hair type, so i havent found as much use for it myself.

Love how these products are working for you!  Also, Im not sure what a diffuser is for and it seems like it's only for thicker hair to style? @cianni

@Buootiful from what i understand, the diffuser does more for people with curlier hair! i think it helps retain curl pattern and reduce frizz. my hair is a pretty loose wave on a good day, so i just a regular blowdryer works fine for me!

@cianni   The JVN has worked some serious magic on my hair as well.

Its the K18 leave in mask I find on my new HG list!  Omg it’s wonderful!  The first time I used it it I used four pumps (which was excessive but didn’t do anything bad) I read afterward I only needed one which I’ve been using since and it works just as well!  my hair has been so soft!  I’m side eyeing all my other hair masks.  I desperately need to do a ‘hair mask off’ and figure out which ones get to stay and which ones are getting passed along.  The K18 is crowned at the top and stays.

I also went with 4 pumps @heartsmyface , and, although I have very long hair, I think I can use half of that amount and still get the results. I don’t want to finish it too early just because of over applying. I love it as well!

@Saradestin  Four pumps worth is the usual amount I use masking.  I didn’t realize how concentrated and easy to disperse in hair it was.  It’s just another reminder to always read the instructions.  🙂  

I didn’t follow the instructions fairly recently on an Amika hair gloss and it somehow turned out alright but I had much better results when I actually followed the instructions.

@heartsmyface i love the hair mask off! can we make this a mini challenge here in the thread? it seems a lot of us have a bunch of hair masks (i know at the very least im right there with you!), and as im thinking about my pan project for 2023, it would be nice to see what needs to go and what will be on my april rouge sale restock list 🤔

@cianni  oh absolutely!! It HAS to happen.  A clear-out is needed and I’m appreciative of having you as a mission companion!  I tend to mask in place of conditioner but it’s still going to take some time.  I’m wondering the best way to go about this….Do half a head of hair of each to speed things along and help with comparisons?  😄 
Maybe we can judge them in similar categories?  Fragrance, length of masking time, scalp, shine, softness, how long the effects seem to last…

@heartsmyface ok yes! i'm thinking we break it out by length of mask, so we can find out the best in each "convenience" category (i love overnights but sometimes a girl needs a 5 min miracle!). then we can judge each (scale of 0 to 5?) on the categories you mentioned, like fragrance, hydration, scalp health, shine, softness, how long the effects lasted and how long it took to see results

if we're feeling particularly scientific/data oriented at the end, we can also factor in hair type information (coloured, bleached, damaged, curly, wavy, fine, thick etc)

I air dried my curls with the JVN Complete Blowout Styling Milk 3 oz / 90 mL and liked it, too, @cianni!

Did you use any other styling products in conjunction with the JVN Complete Blowout Styling Milk 3 oz / 90 mL @curlychiquita ? Unfortunately for me it is not a one and done product like Verb Curl Foaming Gel 6.7 oz / 200 mL . BTW how did you like it?

@Loretta55 I liked the Verb Curl Foaming Gel 6.7 oz / 200 mL better than the JVN, to be honest.  Thank you again for recommending it!  When I use the JVN Complete Blowout Styling Milk 3 oz / 90 mL  I use my Ouidad gel on top of it.
