Rewards Bazaar is a JOKE

How is it that I can go to the rewards bazaar the minute I receive the notification of a new rewards and it's sold out as soon as it posts??? Something is not quite right, either Sephora is playing just to get you to log in and be tempted to make a purchase, or the good rewards are being given to employees who have first hand knowlege.  This reward system sucks!!!

Resellers/scalpers ruin it for everyone. they buy in bulk...

Resellers/scalpers ruin it for everyone. they buy in bulk, then they get the points then they get the rewards in bulk as well. sephora needs to moderate how much rewards they give cause no one NEEDS like 5+ 1000+ pt reward sets unless they resell them and you see them at the flea market.. really shady practices

RE: Rewards Bazaar is a JOKE

Finally smh I’m getting so sick and tired

Re: Rewards Bazaar is a JOKE

Their award system honestly sucks. Most of the good awards are "sold out" by the time you go to get them and the rest are not good value. Hope they rethink their system...

RE: Re: Rewards Bazaar is a JOKE

I emailed them twice yesterday about this same thing happening on all 3 rewards i chose. Their response was horrendous. They basically said sorry for your luck but it is what it is and made zero attempt to make up for it. The rewards should disappear when they are out of stock. Instead they sit there, getting me all excited only to end up pissed as hell I’m not getting them. Screw their “rewards” system. I LOVE how ULTA lets me spend my points how I want so I will Be shopping there much more often if not exclusively from now on.

Re: Rewards Bazaar is a JOKE

Wow! I was just about to send a comment about the « Reward Bazaar » and saw all of your posting! So i am not alone thinking that this is a scam! How can « the not so bad » rewards ALWAYS BE OUT OF STOCK? And like another user said, SECONDS after receiving Sephora’s email. Did someone receive decent explanation from Sephora about this?

RE: Rewards Bazaar is a JOKE

And their “Monthly Gift,” is utterly useless. It’s not a freebie but there is always a minimum purchase to get a gift ($25-35). Most of the time, these are smaller than travel size. Isn’t that the same thing as getting free samples when you checkout online? Samples=monthly gift. Nothing fancy. It’s even more unattractive when we can’t use discount codes AND monthly gift codes on a same order. Nothing fancy.

I'm a rouge member and have been for a couple years. what...

I'm a rouge member and have been for a couple years. what's this monthly gift? I never recieved this. yeah I get my birthday, and tier choice when I become rouge again, which I probably achieved that more than once a year, and points, this is bananas

Hi @Clovergirl12 Rouge exclusive promotions are sent out each month via email. If you haven't been receiving these offers, please  send me a PM and I can refresh your subscription.

i still havent received the "monthly gift" emails. i real...

i still havent received the "monthly gift" emails. i really love sephoras product selection but their online ordering has left me wanting to switch to ulta or simply directly buying directly from the brands.......

Hey @Teffy90, for up-to-date promos, including the VIB promo (or what Sephora refers to as "gifts", you may want to check this thread out: https://community.sephora.com/t5/Insiders/Active-Promo-Codes-19-Winter-2017/m-p/3464602

Thank you!

Re: Rewards Bazaar is a JOKE

I agree. I also go to the site and it is always sold out.

Something is not right

Re: Rewards Bazaar is a JOKE

Agreed. All perks are down from years past. Plus customer service is not what it used to be. I'm using these holiday sales to clear out my points and taking my business elsewhere in 2018.

Re: Rewards Bazaar is a JOKE

So glad you started this post! Maybe with so many complains they will listen. Doubt it but it’s worth trying since I would agree with everyone else - I’ll take my business to Utla unless what I need isn’t sold there (mostly just NARS for me but I can get that at Nordstrom too).

Re: Rewards Bazaar is a JOKE

@Sarahwright87 Ulta carries NARS now, many stores near me have a lot of NARS stuff now too.

Re: Rewards Bazaar is a JOKE

That’s great, thanks!

Re: Rewards Bazaar is a JOKE

Ive been doing this a long time. They post the rewards at exactly 9 am pst/ 12pm est and you have to get on that minute. If you wait until youre notified you will miss out. You cany wait even five min because a lot of people like me know exactly when they will be there and even then they can sell out if you donr check out fast enough but it is worth it if you set an alarm and are ready. I saved up over 10k points and just spent them today on the drybar reward. A 500 dollar gift card, an autographed hardcopy coffee table book by the founder called "good hair for everyone" i think. One tote, one sweater, two tanks, two tees all with adorable quotes and a capsule collection which i believe is just the entire thing so yay. I missed out on a lot but it was all for good reason. If youre gonna spend money on the beauty stuff anyone buy it from sephora because its the only way you have a chance at getting some amazing rewards if youre prepared. I actually got the medium i just took a screen shot of the largeScreenshot_2017-11-28-12-03-53.png

Re: Rewards Bazaar is a JOKE

And isn’t it awful the way they keep all the out of stock rewards up on line for you to see even though they are no longer redeemable?  It’s like taunting consumers on what they can’t get. What an awful idea.

Re: Rewards Bazaar is a JOKE

Yes its very frustrating.  At least have the decency to remove it once it”s “sold out”.  I’m getting the feeling they never had it in the first place.

Re: Rewards Bazaar is a JOKE

With so many people complaining about not being able to "cash in" on the higher rewards of 750 points, it's making me question my loyalty to Sephora.  Because, in reality, I can get the same products Sephora offers at the Ulta Beauty in town.  I'm considering purchasing from Ulta because they have a different reward system that gives me cash back on my purchases.  With all the money I've spent at Sephora, those purchases at Ulta would have gotten me $125 OFF product purchases (as opposed to one lousy eyeshadow palette that is, ahem, not even available).  No, I'm not an employee of Ulta or affiliated to them in any way, but I just had a moment of realization and clarity about what a scam the Sephora rewards system is (and how it keeps you sucked into purchasing at Sephora without exploring other vendors).

Re: Rewards Bazaar is a JOKE

I don’t even try anymore. To be honest, VIB Rouge is disappointing in more ways than just this and I probably won’t aim for it again.
