I love seeing other peoples empties! So I decided to make a board where people could post pictures of their empties, or just tell us about them! I'd also be interested in knowing whether you're repurchasing anything or not.
@curlychiquita Thank you! I think I will have to start doing monthly empties again because 3 months of trash under my sink was stressing me out even though it was out of sight. Honestly, basically stopping shopping unless it's a replacement has allowed me to go through all of my stuff at a rapid speed. I still have loads of body moisturizers to go through!
How was the CLINIQUE Dramatically Different™ Hydrating Jelly Gel Moisturizer with Hyaluronic Acid 4.2 oz/ 125 mL@Shelbstirr? Any products you would compare it to? I'm curious about it. Thanks!
Thanks so much @Shelbstirr. You and RGBrown have been so helpful. It sounds like something I will want to try.
I'm not who you asked, but I figured I'd give my input on it too 😄
My skin is oily/dehydrated, and I used it over the summer. I thought it might be a good lightweight moisturizer for me, but it really needed something over it to seal it in...otherwise it evaporated off my skin fairly quickly and left me feeling dry. I added my facial oil to it and it was fine that way. I'd say treat it as more of a hyaluronic serum...an additional hydration layer, not a final moisturizer, and you'll be good 😄
Oh my gosh @RGbrown I can't even exclaim how helpful that is!!! I currently use a serum or gel type moisturizer with hylaronic acid and then seal it in. I've used either Vichy Mineral 89 or Hada Labo. I prefer the application of Mineral 89 (pump) but Hada Labo is much better price wise and I feel they perform similarly enough. When I saw this, I thought it looked similar to those products while having a better price and a pump. Thank you so much!
A good start towards my New Years Resolution of cutting way back on all of the samples/foils/overstock I have by 75% by the end of the year.
Loves:
L'OCCITANE - Hand CreamsThe Shea Butter is amazing and I love the fairly neutral smell.
DRUNK ELEPHANT - Shaba Complex™ Eye Serum
is is by far the best eye serum I've ever used. I layer it under a brightening cream and the results have been really noticeable. I will be buying more in the near future.
ORIGINS - GinZing™ Energy-Boosting Gel MoisturizerI didn't really find this to be a gel, it was more like a cream and didn't have the stickiness I usually associate with gels. I liked it and feel it did brighten, and it had a really nice smell. It's a maybe to buy.
KIEHL'S SINCE 1851 - Midnight Recovery Eye
I like this as a night cream for my eyes, it's very gentle and moisturizing.
Bumble and bumble Mini Spray de Mode Flexible Hold Hairspray 2.6/77
I've been using this for years. You can build it to have a really strong hold or spray lightly for a light hold that you can still run fingers through.
Verb Ghost Weightless Shampoo for Fine Hair 12/355and Verb Ghost Conditioner for Fine Hair 12/355
Great products, and if wasn't so overloaded on shampoo and conditioner I'd like buy them. When I need to restock in a couple of yeas--yes, really--they will be very strong contenders.
Nothing Special:
KIEHL'S SINCE 1851 - Powerful-Strength Line-Reducing Eye-Brightening Concentrate
This is OK, but I feel there are better products on the market. It feels really sticky and goopy going on, but it does work well.
Lancome Creme Mousse Comfort was an older deluxe sample that was probably well past it's prime. It was OK but nothing to write home about. I didn't like the mousse consistency.
The bottom row is a bunch of hotel soaps and shower gels from hotels, mostly Crabtree & Evelyn, and who doesn't love that? I liked the scents so brought them home. I've been trying to use them up for the past couple of months. I use the soap as hand soap and it's so creamy.
Didn't Like:
DPHUE - Cool Blonde Shampooand DPHUE - Cool Blonde ConditionerI didn't like anything about this from the impossible to open foil to the smell to the consistency. The conditioner is better than then shampoo, but no way I'd buy either. I also noticed zero effect on my hair, although I don't have a problem with brassiness.

I am finally joining the Empties Party!!! Here are my empties for December:December 2018 Empties!
Loves:
Sephora Almond Foot Masks - Even though these don't fit my feet properly, I absolutely LOVE how my feet feel after I use them. I leave them on for about an hour because my feet stay dry and need all the moisture! This is a definite repurchase!
Tony Moly Sheet Masks – I have been using these for a while, so it is for sure in the repurchase category. The masks are not dripping in serum, but I like the way my skin feels after using them.
Clinique Clarifying Lotion 1.0 – I am already using the larger size in my skincare routine! This is the only Clarifying Lotion that doesn’t contain alcohol, so my dry skin is in love.
Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate – Another product that I replaced with a larger bottle because I absolutely LOVED this serum. The only downside was I dropped the bottle dropper in my sink and it shattered. Luckily, I was close to finishing the bottle.
Smashbox 24 Hour Photo Finish Shadow Primer – I tried this on a whim after being disappointed with the Urban Decay eye shadow primer. Finally, I found an eye shadow primer that actually keeps my eye shadow in place all day without creasing. Be still my heart! A little goes a long way, so it has taken me FOREVER to finish this. But I have a backup waiting for me!
IT Cosmestics Superhero Mascara – This was a sample I received at Ulta. This mascara does wonders to my lashes! My lashes go from “Where?” to “WOWZA!” in just one coat. I don’t really stick to one mascara, but I would absolutely purchase this one.
Pureology Hydrate Superfood Treatment – I bought this as a protein treatment to mix in with the Klorane Mango hair masque. I have protein sensitive hair, so I only add a very small amount, and the travel size is perfect! I already have my repurchase waiting for next weekend’s wash day.
Likes:
NYX Dewy Finish Setting Spray – I don’t feel like this did anything special for my makeup, so it’s not at the top of my repurchase list, but I might pick it up in a jam or during a sale.
ELF Hydrating Coconut Mist – I sprayed this at the end of my skincare routine to give my dry skin an extra moisture boost, and I think it’s a great affordable facial spray. I also really liked the tropical coconut scent. This is another product that is not high on my buy again list because I like to try different facial sprays.
Beauty Blender Liquid Blender Cleanser – This is the only product that gets my brushes and sponges squeaky clean, but I go through it so fast. I am trying the Pro Solid Cleanser now to see if that one lasts longer.
Clinique Dramatically Different Lotion – I used this to moisturize my skin when I take my makeup off before going to workout after work. It did an adequate job, but it’s nothing special and not on the top of my repurchase list.
Hates:
Josie Maran Argan Cleansing Oil – OMG I’ve had this FOREVER!! I mixed it with the Sephora Exfoliating Powder (that I have also had forever and am trying to finish!) The product was okay, but I didn’t like the pump. I will not be repurchasing this, and I’ve already replaced it with the Julep Cleansing Oil.
Clinique Take the Day Off Micellar Cleansing Towelettes – I use wipes when I don’t have access to a washcloth during my makeup removal process, and I decided to give these a try. The wipes are too small. I have to use two or three at a time. It’s a hard pass for me.
