is Becca's champagne pop too dark for a fair/light skin tone?

I'm pretty light I don't know if this color will highlight me or just look muddy. I just bought the Anastasia x Amrezy highlighter online so I want to know which one will work better

RE: is Becca's champagne pop too dark for a fair/light skin tone?

This may sound a little crazy but it works for me & I have a skin condition called Vitiligo! After having it most of my life, I have no pigment on my face so when I get a highlighter or any powder foundation, blush or contour powder that's to dark ...my suggestion doesn't really work with/creams or liquids....I blend my darker shades with a very light powder. What I mean...here's an example...I love all of the Becca products but some are way to dark but I still want to use them so I mix them with a light color like Light Chaser Highlighter, or one of the lighter Shimmering Skin Profectors like Vanilla Quartz or Moonstone or Prismatic Amethyst. Or you could try the BECCA /Chrissy Teigen Glow Face Palette. I also liked the BECCA Ski Glow Palette there is a good blendable shade called Icicle. A really great one I've found is an Anastasia Beverly Hill Sugar Glow Kit shade called Marshmallow...it a nice creamy white with golden holographic highlights in it, it's my personal favorite! Doing this blending just makes the color softer & not so dark or bold. I always start w/blending the lighter color on the brush then into the darker & when finished I clean off the colors w/a small clean brush or a q-tip! I find doing things this way opens up a whole lot of great new shades I can actually wear!

I tried it out today, I think its too dark. It doesn't really "highlight" anything and blends in and makes it hard to see

Oh, okay. Sorry that Champagne Pop didn't work out, @Hollimartin91. Are you still interested in Becca highlighters, though? If so, Moonstone, Vanilla Quartz, and Pearl are all lighter than Champagne Pop. One of those may show up better on you.

You can see swatches of Moonstone and Pearl in my reply below. Here are swatches of Vanilla Quartz, too.

Anyway, I have heard great things about the ABH Amrezy highlighter, so I hope that one ends up working for you.

Hi, @Hollimartin91.

I have a similar skin tone and Becca Champagne Pop is my go-to highlighter. It's such a beautiful pale, peachy gold shade. The only qualm is that if you're super fair, the highlighter may leave a tinge of color. However, I'd still say it's worth a shot. 🙂

I hope this helps!

@Hollimartin91 It depends how light you are. I am a 2Y02 in Sephora Color IQ, and Champagne Pop is way too dark for me.

@Hollimartin91

I do not think it will be too dark at all! It is a pretty rose gold shade. I think also that Opal would look great with your skin tone as well, it is more of a pretty light gold shade.
