You know what would be nice for Sephora to do? Give all Rouges a one time use 30% off code, then 20% off to use as many times as we want afterwards during the sale period. That would probably make a lot more people feel satisfied.

With that being said, I do plan to get a La Mer set which has a 30ml soft cream in it, a Jo Malone hand and body wash, and also a scalp scrub (not sure which yet). Im only making this purchase now because I have my ebates giftcard.

I was gonna get more but today I got a great deal at Shoppers Drug Mart. Spent $138.99 before tax and got back 54,000 points (equals to $54).

@sabrinas I really like your idea of the one time 30% off code. Heck even cap it at say ~$250 for the one purchase. I really like the Christophe Robin purifying scrub. @niki172 Those are the two im deciding between! Ive tried both and like both but leaning more towards the christophe one since it lathers better and I need less to cover all of my scalp 🙂

Not gonna lie, I’m salty about BI’s getting 30% off when as a Rouge we’ve never gotten that much despite being the ‘best spenders and customers’. Do I want the new Pat McGrath foundation? Yes, I love it and I think it looks so pretty on. Do I want a new shade in my Armani Power Fabric as winter is coming? Yeah.

Do I want to give Sephora that dollar right now though? Ehhhh, no. I’ve got more then enough foundation to last me til November when my salt levels may be lower.

@howconnie not when they’re giving 30% off to select customers it doesn’t!  Plus I’m finding a lot of super pricey skincare at cult beauty for 50% off right now when you factor in the vat tax rebate and 20% off promo they’re doing.

Too bad I can’t combine the sale promo code with my $100 rouge reward. Otherwise I’d be more tempted to shop this sale, and I’d probably spend well over the reward amount in the process—well, if the rouge promo % was truly “our very best discount.” 

I don’t usually complain when select audiences get targeted discounts. That’s standard marketing promo 101 procedure for many retailers in various industries. But when that targeted promo is higher than the “very best discount” I’m supposed to get as a rouge member, that’s when I get cranky. 😡 Sephora needs to either make good on that rouge discount claim or stop making that claim. Quit posting it on ads and program info when it’s not true. 30% would lure me into this sale. 20% will not this time.

I'm just going to restock some stuff and get a gift for a friend's birthday for this sale. Meanwhile, Ulta's 10x points event is coming up soon so there goes my money.

@RNGesusPls yes, between ulta and cult beauty I’m afraid I don’t have any dollars ear marked for Sephora. I guess I’m not their target audience because I will go with whatever retailer is offering the best price/deal/promotion. I’m looking at skincare that’s normally in the $400 price range that’s on sale for $200 at cult right now. I know a customer getting 50% off cuts into the retailer’s margins but you can either get a smaller margin or no margin at all from me.

Will probably just restock on a few favorite skincare and Briogeo products I’m running low on.   Kinda disappointed that Rouge is only receiving 20% off, but on the bright side, I am excited to soon start using my Ulta points on Sunday Riley.

@Mrose251 yes that’s amazing ulta got Sunday Riley. Can’t wait to see what brands they get next. Even when they’re not running a sale, you get cool gwps from ulta. Today they’re doing 4 mini perfumes with any $40 purchase. At Sephora, I’d have to make 4 separate transactions for $25 a piece to receive 4 mini perfumes.
