Satisfying September Hauls 2021

I cannot believe it’s already September.  Where did the time go?

This is the month we have been waiting for. Sephoria takes place virtually on Saturday September 18th from 10 am to 1 pm pst. I cannot wait to experience this with everyone who signed up for it. 

Happy Birthday month to all the September babies, including my daughter who will be turning 2 this month!

EDIT: The shadow pans seem to be magnetic.  But you also have to insert the bottom of each pan into the connector in each well of the palette.  Then it will be secure. 🙂

I went for broke and cashed in all of my Ulta points for the equivalent of Hourglass's Curated 5 Pan Palette Iced Steel.  Swatches and thoughts in spoiler. Overall, the shadows are okay.  I would not pay full price for them.  They also fall out of the palette easily. But I am happy to have a gray eye look that I can wear that can be okay to wear in the daytime.

And Urban Decays Vice Hydrating Lipstick in Hideaway Matte.  Very easy to apply for a matte.  Slippery even. Indoor light.

Shades Air, Alt, and Ice- outdoor light. They are very, very light; not intensely pigmented. Not a criticism because I prefer that sometimes. They applied smoothly, but Air seems to emphasize the pores on my hand. Not sure if that will matter on my eyelid. Ice does emphasize eye wrinkles.Ash, Yet- these are incorrectly labeled on the Hourglass site. Ash was the shade I had the most trouble applying; it's not very smooth. Yet, a navy, is beautiful and applies very well.Quick look- no primer. Air all over, Alt on lid to crease, Ash in crease and outer corner, Yet on outermost corner. Ice on middle of lid over all.

@Ispend2much6 I also bought the Urban Decay lipstick in the shade Hideaway. It feels very comfortable and the color is beautiful.

@Gemini619  Nice!  It definitely has a unique formula. It goes on almost like a liquid, but then dries down and stays within the lip line pretty well.

Your shadows you picked look so good @Ispend2much6 . 😊 I bought Ash so far to see what I think. They are tiny!

@Sunnysmom  But I don't look like the model on Hourglass's site! lol  Thank you.  I wouldn't use Ash as the marker for the shadows because it was the least smooth to apply.  The pans are about the size of a quarter, or a little less, I think.

Oh I don’t mind it @Ispend2much6 . Did you use a creme shadow underneath? I always do so maybe I didn’t see how it was on its own if so.  I did also swatch most of them in store also so I knew what they were like before I bought the one to try. 😊 You got a nice deal on them for sure!

@lmaster  They are!  Stays gray on me instead of morphing into blue or green.  I'm going to use a primer tomorrow to see if it increases the intensity and longevity.

@Loretta55  I know what you mean, I thought about saving my points for that event.  But, you lose out if you don't spend it all at once, and it wasn't worth it to  me.

Where did you see a picture of bag 2?  I'm impatient!

The photo was posted on Reddit @Ispend2much6 . I guess that I will wait until we get a 20% discount before spending any points. You can’t redeem more than 4000 points at a time. If you make a purchase in store just make sure that the cashier applied the points properly.
