@haleyvvvv I have not but my mom really likes shiseido foundations and has used many of them over the years! They tend to work really well for her dry skin.

@itsfi Do you recommend any specific primer with it? So far I tried with my milk makeup hydrogrip and I was impressed I didn’t have to touch up very much at all. I also have Tatcha liquid silk canvas. I used my beauty blender to apply but I also want to try applying with a flat top foundation brush so any feedback is welcome!

@lnum, oooh, good rec - I'll have to try the LSF with the Milk Hydrogrip; thank you. Over the years, I've paired it with several different primers, all with good results for me. My recollection is that my skin leans more dry than yours so these may not be great primers for you, but I've liked the LSF with:

• YSL Touche Eclat Blur Primer is great to pair with the LSF for going out in the evenings (clearly, a combination I used a loooooong time ago). I like that the LSF gives a glowy but still natural look - using the YSL primer underneath ups that lit from within effect of the Luminous Silk Foundation.
• Too Faced Hangover Face Primer - this one is more hydrating, which my dehydrated combo skin loves but my recollection is that your skin may lean more oily than mine so I'm not sure you'd like this one. Also, I have this thought in my head (though I could be wrong and am also sorry I can't recall for certain) that you have a sensitivity or allergy to a particular ingredient, maybe coconut? I wish I remembered better. If so, then you definitely will want to pass on the TF primer.
• Laura Mercier - I used the original version which goes to show how long I've been using LSF. She's since reformulated her primers to be geared towards more specific skin needs - hydrating, blurring, illuminating - but I haven't had a chance to try out her new ones.
• Hourglass No. 28 Primer Serum is/was one I reached for a lot in the coldest part of the winter when my skin can get really really dehydrated and dry. It has a lot of oils / essential oils so best to check the INCI list first to make sure it doesn't contain anything your skin might react to.
• For when my skin is combination (oily T-zone, dry cheeks, sometimes with some dryness scattered throughout), I will apply a primer like Touch in Sol No Poreblem or Benefit Porefessional to my nose and then another primer else, and the LSF worked well with those two primers as well. 
• I often use my SPF as a primer (it's out of sheer laziness) and the LSF has looked good with it as well. 

The LSF really seems to apply well with many different primers, which I think is great. 

We apply the LSF with pretty much the same tools. My favorite way to apply it is with the beauty blender or another makeup sponge. I also like using Real Techniques Expert Face Makeup Brush. I've heard / read that the LSF applies nicely with fingers but interestingly enough, I've never given that method a try. Hmmm... maybe a future weekend project...

@itsfi Thanks for the feedback and good memory! I am allergic to coconut oil. The hourglass primer did intrigue me, I used to swear by the veil primer so maybe I should give that one a try again. I have also used benefits porefessional in the past when my skin was super oily so that’s another I should revisit! I do have the RT Expert Face Brush and use it for my cream blush. I used to love applying foundation with a flat top brush until I switched to beauty blender. I will have to try it out!

@Ispend2much6 Picked that up for my mom and she said so far she loves it. She finds it moisturizing as her skin has gotten quite dry with age. The coverage is a little more than what she’s used to actually but I think it has a nice finish on her with primer. Not dewy but more satin.

@sister13 Is it just me or were the sets this year amazing and well-priced? I really liked a lot of them and usually I don’t because they have excess products I would not use.
