Thanks @CynthieLu ! I hope you like the lipsticks coming your way! Do let me know what you think of Pat’s crayon. I expected it to be similar to NARS’s crayon (their latest Powermatte version, or even kinda like their old Satin version), so I was kinda thrown during my lip swatches. I definitely need to play around more with the two I bought.

One of the main issues with WA’s lipstick case is how much—err, how little of the insert tube is exposed in the case. On nearly all other bullet lipstick cases, when you remove the cap, you get a lot of the inner tube to hold onto while twisting the lipstick up. But with WA’s, you get not even a full index finger’s width of inner tube to hold (unless you have very slim or small fingers). Plus, that inner tube is smooth, making it even harder for some folks to grip and hold. WA could at least shorten the length of the bottom part of the case, to expose more of the inner tube. And/or they could texturize the top of the inner tube—put a few vertical ridges on it or something—to make it a bit easier to grip. In fact, I might add some nubby tape to the exposed bit of inner tube on my lipstick because, even as a pianist with good finger dexterity and hand strength, I have trouble gripping that tube sometimes. 

I do like your idea of WA offering a slimmer tube in addition to the big clunker tube. WA’s packaging design seems to focus on big column containers across their catalog. I get that it’s Gucci Westman’s aesthetic but it makes some products feel clunky. It’ll be interesting to se how WA packages their lipstick refills. The mirror inside the clunky case cap is cute but unusable by my old lady eyes, even while wearing readers. 😅 My pre-50s eyesight might’ve been able to use that mirror… definitely my pre-40s eyesight. It reminds me of the days when MAC bullet lipsticks came in cases with flat-topped caps: someone sold small round self-adhesive mirrors you could attach to the outer cap end of lipsticks, so that’s what I did with my most-used MACs back then. It was very handy, back when I could actually see in those little mirrors. 😂

@WinglessOne Great haul. I love the WA lipsticks (I have it in three colors). The only thing that I took a star off for was the smell of the lipstick.

Ha, I didn’t even notice the WA lipsticks have a scent; I was too distracted by the badly designed case. 😅 Going to smell mine now… Hmm, LFG has a very sugary vanilla icing scent, but it’s faint. Kinda piercing because it’s so dang sweet, yet faint. And I didn’t smell it at all while it was on my lips. If the lipstick was in a better and more accessible case, I’d score in the 95-99 range. Glad you love your 3 shades!

@WinglessOne I definitely appreciate your thoughts on the PAT McGRATH LABS Dramatique Mega Lip Pencil formula.  The shade range looks gorgeous but I've heard a lot of mixed opinions on them so far; I'm hoping that they show up at a Sephora store near me soon so that I can swatch them in person.  I love the colors that you chose!

@CookieGirl1  I hope they show up in stores soon, too. There’s another shade I wanna swatch out of curiosity. I will say these might be your answer to finding a lip liner that really stays put all day, since they do (well, Flesh 3 does) have liquid matte performance on my lips. But I hope Pat’s not discontinuing her gel lip liners because those are the best.

@WinglessOne these are definitely sounding more promising based on their wear time 😊.  But I absolutely agree with you--I definitely hope that she doesn't discontinue her lip liners.  If I thought that was the case I'd definitely be stocking up on a couple!

Ooooh, this was a journey @WinglessOne .  If you ever want to write like fanfic about lipsticks, I'll read it.  I went from wanting the WA to hating it.  You're right that everyone deserves a functional great lipstick.

My PAT McGRATH LABS Dramatique Mega Lip Pencil Flashbulb Fuchsia arrived this morning, so now I'm nervous to try it 😨, but 🤞🏽🤞🏽

Hey, we're re Huez twins.  I'm curious what you'll think, but I really like it.  It has tack and the expected sunscreen smell, so when I go to put it on, it's always a "whoa" moment.  I don't get the cast that I do with the untinted (?) moisturizer, which fades when I rub it in.  I wonder if it's because of Fenty's mix which always leans warm/orange?   And if hydra visor is pink, maybe it color corrected itself 🤣

@danielledanielle  Haha, now I might have to write a lipstick story. Between this and Prada’s bullet, I’ve probably got a few chapters’ worth of material. 😂 Also, Guerlain’s Rouge G custom case and Fenty’s Icon case, both of which I’ve ranted at length about—but the difference is, I can easily use the Icon and Rouge G lipsticks without their cases. I wish WA hadn’t made their refillable lipstick case-dependent. 

Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on Pat’s crayon, especially that fuchsia shade. I’m hoping a second chance will go better for me because I love the color. I mean, surely the stickiness was some just-me weirdness…? I hope you don’t experience that too. 

I’ll probably test the Fenty Huez this weekend. I never tried the non-Huez version of this sunscreen: I remember swatching it on my arm once and thinking “nope, this is too close to Casperization for me.” The Huez version seemed workable on my hand in-store, so hopefully it does well on my face. We’ll see!

Thanks @peculiarzmakeup ! Yeah, during Sephora’s challenges I’ve tried to choose at least one restock item, so I don’t end up buying lots of stuff just for the sake of bonus points. That’s an overshopping pitfall of mine: buying things just to get bonus points. Ulta usually gets me with their frequent point multiplier events, and sometimes Nordstrom does too. Sephora has stepped up the frequency of their point multipliers within the last couple years (though they still lag behind Ulta in that regard), so I try to force myself to be a more responsible shopper. 😅

Forgot about this until I ordered on Perks day last week.
Ulta haul really late April. I tried to resist the fragrance gift bag but then the YSL makeup bag almost looked like a YSL bag. I had no hope but the 5x pts on luxury brands and afterpay helped too. I'm loving Gucci Flora Gorgeous Magnolia Eau de Parfum Travel Spray with Berries and Patchouli 0.33 oz / 10 ml ... # and of course the pretty purple.🥰

The Jimmy Choo was a blind buy based on Ulta catalog sample. It does not smell as good as I thought and a too similar to laundry fragrance but not as bad as Libre or Pistachio gelato. The poootpourri counted as fragrance and... it works 😚.

I had no intention of making purchases this month.  I'm not a huge Bath and Body works gal, but a coworker mentioned they had their sale on right now and I thought I'd pick up some hand soap since I was right next door after work.  Somehow this happened.  I don't even wear body spray???  I guess I have some nice room spray?  Maybe I'll like it as body spray?
