Re: Justifiable June Hauls 2024

@Ispend2much6 it's Armani Beauty Luminous Silk Cheek Tint 62 Delicate Mauve and I actually think that you'd really like it, knowing a little about your preference in blush shades.  It's gorgeous and surprisingly longwearing (on me, at least).

Re: Justifiable June Hauls 2024

@CookieGirl1  Thank you so much!

Re: Justifiable June Hauls 2024

@CookieGirl1  I think I need to smell that OUAI mist next time I’m in-store (assuming it’s available at one of my locals). I can already imagine what that blueberry bundt cake body wash smells like, though, and now I want cake. 😂 Glad you found some K-beauty winners and were able to rehome some others. And that Lawless blush shade is beautiful.

Re: Justifiable June Hauls 2024

@WinglessOne the OUAI St. Barts Hair and Body Mist 3.3 oz / 97 ml is good--a beachy coconut and (even though it isn't in the fragrance notes) I swear that I smell a little pineapple.  The BBW Blueberry bodywash also smells delightful, although a bit light.  I actually grabbed the body cream yesterday on sale and it smells a bit stronger, which I like.

Great choices @somesamsato ! Smart to do all the anti-aging you can now!

Re: Justifiable June Hauls 2024

Those are great skincare products, @somesamsato!

Re: Justifiable June Hauls 2024

Nice skincare haul @somesamsato !

Re: Justifiable June Hauls 2024

@somesamsato great haul.  Don't forget to take care of your neck.  It can show signs of aging before your face does

Re: Justifiable June Hauls 2024

Thanks for the reminder, @CorgiMommy ! Between my neck and forehead these products definitely have their work cut out for them 😅

Re: Justifiable June Hauls 2024

Lovely haul! These all look like incredible products, hope you enjoy them all 🫶 @somesamsato

Re: Justifiable June Hauls 2024

@somesamsato  Hooray for maximizing points earned! I hope your newly discovered items work out for you!

Re: Justifiable June Hauls 2024

Thanks, @WinglessOne ! I'm really hopeful about the Drunk Elephant Protini™ Powerpeptide Resurfacing Serum with Lactic Acid 1.0 oz/ 30 mL . I have some lines that are developing into wrinkles that I'm becoming self-conscious of.

Re: Justifiable June Hauls 2024

Squeezing 2 small orders into this thread while it’s still June. When I get around to opening, swatching, and photographing the other orders, I’ll just post ‘em in July’s thread. 😅

Sephora point multiplier order:

This is the first LYS highlighter I’ve ever bought. Definitely not my first LYS blush though. :DThis is the first LYS highlighter I’ve ever bought. Definitely not my first LYS blush though. 😄

Swatches & notes:

Spoiler
Ami Colé Soft Shape Waterproof Lip Liner Midnight - not as close to black as I’d hoped for, but deep enough to pair with certain glosses. I haven’t tried it on my lips yet.

LYS Beauty Aim High Cream Highlighter Stick Genuine - I chose this over the Fenty and Danessa Myricks lowlighters. It’s even creamier—more emollient, actually—than LYS’s blush sticks. I’m not sure if it’ll dry down enough to set in place… eh, I can always tap a tiny bit of translucent setting powder over it, or include it in my setting spray showdown this summer. I wasn’t sure about this shade the night I first opened and swatched it. But seeing it in today’s indirect daylight, I feel better about it.

LYS Beauty Higher Standard Cream Glow Blush Sticks Outgoing - the shade I originally wanted when these first launched, but Sephora didn’t carry it then and I must’ve had a gift card or Rouge Reward to use up, otherwise I’d have ordered Outgoing direct from LYS instead of getting Unfazed first from Sephora. Anyway, I’m very happy to have this shade now! There’s a subtle fuchsia metallic something goin’ on in Outgoing; I tried to catch it in my swatch photo below.

Swatches & notes:

Spoiler
Expressioniste Brow Pomade shade Black - so yeah, this should be a fun experiment. 🫠 I’ve never had much luck with brow pomades, but I figured this one might be an exception since Surratt’s makeup tends to be subtler than most brands’. 30% off lead to this leap of faith. I haven’t tried or even swatched this yet, but one night this week I’ll play with it.

Artistique Liquid Highighter shade Froufrou - same twist/click-up sponge-topped tube Surratt’s liquid blushes use. In fact, I was going to buy a second blush shade (I got one in a Beautylish Lucky Bag) until I remembered these highlighters. I picked Froufrou because I don’t have many pearly pinky iridescent highlighters. This one is very subtle on me, and I can see it working well atop blushes or as a less noticeable “randomly” placed point of light on my face, ears, collarbone(s), etc.

Custom eyeshadow palette: Artistique shades Cuivre, Cosmos, Supernova, Nebula, and Dark Matter Eyeshadow Base - if you’ve never seen a Surratt single shadow or blush, their very small size might shock you:

I already have a Prismatique Eyes duo and 2 single blushes, among other Surratt goodies, so I knew what to expect. Still, look how adorable Supernova is in its own single packaging, aww.I already have a Prismatique Eyes duo and 2 single blushes, among other Surratt goodies, so I knew what to expect. That’s how singles are packaged. To put ‘em in Surratt’s empty palette, you just slide the lid off the single pan and peel a sticker off its bottom. I wish these palettes were magnetic instead, but they do have little holes for pan removal.

I chose one shimmer, 3 duochromes, and a large pan of black matte. I’ll sound like a broken record but, I knew these would be fairly subtle because that’s how Surratt roles. The fun thing about these duochromes is that I can lay down a black base just on my mobile lid, then use a duochrome on my lid, crease, brow bone, etc. as a one and done shade—but it’ll look like I used 3-4 different shades. Cuivre is a good shimmery transition/edge-softener shade for my skin tone. And Dark Matter might be the creamiest powder matte I’ve ever swatched.

Re: Justifiable June Hauls 2024

@WinglessOne what a delight to see Surratt in your haul 🤩 my cue to slow down, take a breath and ahhhhhh….enjoy the read. The swatches really showcase just what a dramatic difference Dark Matter emits. Thank you also for the helpful tips on removing the single pans from the packaging. Those things seem obvious to most here, but they can be pretty intimidating if you don’t know what to expect.

I wish Sephora still carried the brand.

also, that Lys Outgoing reminds me a lot of   Danessa Myricks Beauty Colorfix - Multi-Use Eye, Cheek & Lip Waterproof Liquid Pigment Valentine

Re: Justifiable June Hauls 2024

Thanks @eshoe ! I rambled a bit about the single shadow packaging because a friend bought some and thought she’d broken one—because the lid slid completely off. 😅 So I told her about how the single pans sit (and stick to) the empty non-metallic palettes. I had her on my mind while writing my notes up there. Also thought about you when I kept trying not to look at any of the brushes 😂 and I’m very surprised I resisted them at 30% off. I do already have one Surratt brush: a tiny shader/detailer that frequently comes in handy.

Dark Matter is really lovely. I can see myself popping it out of the palette, replacing its lid (why yes, I did keep all the single lids), and traveling with it. Normally I pack Pat McGrath’s baked satin black single shadow, also named Dark Matter, because it creates an effortless smokey eye. (I think it was also available as an EYEdol black matte shadow, though not in baked form.) Sometime this weekend, I should compare both Dark Matters head to head out of curiosity.

LYS’s Outgoing and Danessa’s Valentine might be the same (or very similar) pink, though Outgoing has a subtle fuchsia flip. Both are very pretty!

Re: Justifiable June Hauls 2024

Beautiful swatches!! Great hauls @WinglessOne

Re: Justifiable June Hauls 2024

Thank you @lmaster !

Re: Justifiable June Hauls 2024

Thank you so much for your beautiful swatches @WinglessOne ! I was curious about the Surratt eyeshadows…they’re very pretty! I should be receiving a haul tomorrow and I’m happy to see your swatch of the LYS Beauty Aim High Cream Highlighter Stick in the shade Genuine (  that’s the shade that I’ve ordered HeHe 😉 ) Enjoy your haul 💕

Re: Justifiable June Hauls 2024

Thanks @keana1 ! Great minds think alike! 👍 I hope you like Genuine when it arrives.

The Surratt duochrome eyeshadows are neat because, unlike most other brands’ duo/multichromes, they don’t have a built-in black or white base. This opens up more ways to get creative with ‘em. I love duo/multichromes in general, but most of what I own is boldly pigmented (not a bad thing at all for me). That makes those 3 Surratt shifters kinda unique in my collection. And Surratt uses a nice creamy powder formula for their shadows. They’re worth trying at some point. 😉
