@danielledanielle, that's too bad the Pat McGrath liners are too soft 😕 - you like the Fenty liners more? Those look like great shades you chose. Does Bored Heaux lean more red or purple to your eye?

@itsfi  , Bored Heaux is plum/purple for me.  It definitely makes the holo effect in Grape Splash prominent. 

They are both equally soft IMO, since we've had a couple of heatwaves in the NE already, I suspect they both share that same waxy base that makes them so prone to breaking, so I'll use them kind of dull.  I've sharpened PMG's Mocha Obsession 3x.  The Fenty performed so much better once it wasn't hot.  If I need a needle sharp liner, I'll still with the MAC ones I picked up or Ami Colé Soft Shape Waterproof Lip Liner

I’ll have to try Grape Splash with a plum/purple liner @danielledanielle - it’s such a gorgeous gloss. It was my evening out gloss when I was on vacation. 🏖️ I recently picked up a plummy liner from Fashion Fair so that combo is in the works. Trying to focus on using my liners more this summer with Shop Your Stash Challenge: Summer 2025 It may take me all summer just to use each liner once. 😔 

I do love that MAC & Ami Cole have the more waxy liners. I like the newer creamier ones as well but the throwback formulations come in handy.

@danielledanielle  How does the Valentino hold up?  Pairing a gel with a liquid is such a good idea.

The gel liner holds a little better for me than the brush tip @Ispend2much6 .  I got this with mixed results in mind, but worth the % off.  The reviews on this are mixed, so I wore it yesterday to test it against a humid, errand day, which is usually a no makeup or low makeup day.  The gel was in the inner corner, no smudging, but not a full application, looked the same until nighttime.  The black liner glides smoothly, not inky inky black, more of a soft black.  I thought it would leave marks on the lids, but even with my oily lids it was fine.  The outer corner smudged a little bit for me.  Not a no, but it doesn't hold up to my HGs ( Danessa Myricks Beauty Linework Paintbrush Fluid Liquid Eyeliner 0.034 oz / 1 ml , PAT McGRATH LABS PERMA PRECISION Liquid Eyeliner Xtreme Black , Heroline).  They smudge but less often, this smudged twice.

Tarte was this first I know of, but the gel liner was always kind of meh and the liquid was very liquidy..I think I still have tarte double take waterproof liquid & gel pencil eyeliner somewhere, might do a Beauty Product Battles, Throw Downs and Showdowns one day between
