Eh, let’s call most of this “May leftovers.” I haven’t swatched or used any of this yet, but tomorrow I plan to give the palette and one of the lipsticks a full day wear test. So, I might update this post later with swatches and performance feedback. 

Danessa Myricks and Hourglass: 

The only other Hourglass quad I own is the Ghost quad.The 4 AL powders I chose for my customized quad.

Danessa Myricks Beauty Mini Pastel Dream Freedom Palette - it’s not often I find pastels that won’t go all ashy chalk on my lids, but I have high expectations of this one. And I’m loving Danessa’s “freedom” palette format; glad to see her continuing with it since Lightwork VI. 

Danessa Myricks Forever Mist Dewy Setting Spray - because I always feel weird about ordering just one smallish item from a retailer or brand site. 😅 

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit Customized Quad - here’s a full explanation of why I bought this, so I won’t have to repeat all that here. I love that HG arranged my chosen shades in the exact order I customized, and then printed those shade names on the back label. This quad will definitely travel with me. 

Hourglass GWP: DS of Hourglass Unreal Liquid Blush Scene and sample card of Hourglass Phantom Volumizing Glossy Lip Balm - I already know the Phantom lip balm formula irritates my lips, so I’ll pass this sample card along to someone else. But I look forward to trying the Unreal blush on myself. 

Neiman Marcus and Rephr (final storewide sale):

Dries van Noten Lipstick refill shades Archive Red (matte) and Bad Pink (sheer), plus 2 cases - got 15% off everything by signing up for NM texts; NM was 10% cashback via Retailmenot; I had an old gift card to use up; and my ShopRunner account saved me a $10 shipping fee. (Seriously, NM? 🙄) Figured I might as well buy the 2 refillable cases I most wanted so I can mix & match ‘em. There are a couple other lipstick shades I’ve wanted for quite some time, but I’ll have to order those direct from DVN someday. 

Neiman Marcus GWP: a bunch of fragrance and skincare samples - the Eve Lom sample includes their muslin cloth, which I’ll happily use (though probably not on my face). I can’t use their cleanser on my face, but it might help soften my rough heels. 

Rephr: 

• Shodō duo - will join my Shodō trio to make a complete set of calligraphy style eye brushes. 
• Brush soap - I can always use more brush soap that works well without wrecking my brushes. And now Rephr’s comes in a tin. (Didn’t used to come with a container.) 
• GWP: eye brush 21 - happy to have a backup of this synthetic shader. It works well with Danessa Myricks’s Infinite Chrome Flakes. 👍

EDIT: I had the finishes of the 2 DVN lipsticks mixed up. Bad Pink is sheer (though on my lips it’s very easy to build up to nearly opaque) and Archive Red is matte.

@WinglessOne, hear ya on just purchasing one smallish item from a retailer/brand, but that new DM eyeshadow palette is a beauty. Interested on your thoughts on her setting mist, after you have a chance to try it (and no rush there, I know you have other setting sprays in your rotation).

@itsfi  At some point, I need to stop adding setting sprays to my test deck until I’ve tested a big enough batch. 😅 I’ll tag you when I’ve got feedback on Danessa’s.

I love Hourglass products so much! You're going to love the Phantom Volumizing Glossy Balm (Trace is my favorite shade) and I got the same Unveil Blush, which is gorgeous. 

And, Hourglass is great for letting the customer create and customize their own Palettes...Hourglass has always paid attention to detail.

Thanks @Suzanne713 ! Sephora graciously gifted me (and several other folks) a Phantom balm last year, but unfortunately it irritated my lips so I can’t wear it. I’m passing that HG sample card along to someone else. 

Hourglass has definitely gotten better at the detail of listening to customers. For a long time, they didn’t hear customers with deep skin tones. So I was pleasantly surprised when they finally launched new AL powder & blush shades that actually work for most, if not all, of the deep skin tone range. They’re finally listening instead of gaslighting. Gotta give ‘em credit for that.
