A recent Sephora Haul and my February Boxwalla, featuring Lovinah skincare again. This is my only subscription box, it features natural based skincare, it comes every other month and is always wonderful. I haven’t been buying too much lately, trying to shop my stash, but I’ve been eyeing this monoi Sephora body stuff and saw these Lys lipsticks and couldn’t resist them. 

The #LYS Beauty Speak Love Moisture Matte Lipstick Optimistic  and #LYS Beauty Speak Love Moisture Matte Lipstick Moody are a really nice formula. I’d say they start as more of a satin but dry down to a matte. They do transfer a bit, and I got about 3 hours of wear (talking and drinking from a water bottle) before they faded noticeably. In my opinion, the shades (at least these two) are not well represented the model photos, but still really pretty and Optimistic is probably somewhat more versatile probably in this shade. Also, I was a little surprised at Moody, since I don’t normally wear browns, and just looked at that product page which is labeled “warm mauve” and looks more berry colored on the model lips, but is straight up brown on me. Still pretty but not what I was expecting, so fair warning there.

The formula was super comfortable, as I have very dry lips and sometimes mattes are a problem. I did read some reviews (after I used them, haha) and someone did rightfully comment that you get very little product. I’ll admit that I thought $20 was reasonable but realize it is a small amount in the tube. But I think the tube is just so pretty and I like them!

The Lovinah Dragon-C is really emollient and lush feeling, I look forward to working it in to my routine sometime down the road. Didn’t try the Ocean Rituals but looking forward to it, as I love cleansing balms!
