PMG had a one day bogo on their lip pencils. I’ve given up on wearing lipstick because my lips are so dry so I figured I’d give these a try at that price.

They have a lot of glide but I haven’t worn them enough to determine moisturizing properties.

The shades are somewhat sheer, so that means they are more likely to work well.

NARS newness. A few new shades of their powder blush and a new Afterglow lipstick- these are so moisturizing! This is a reformulation.

Natasha Denona mini cool palette.

The two darkest shades were not as smooth as the other shades. Hopefully that won’t be an issue when applied on top of the others.

Nars has been disappointing to me with their new powder blush formula shades and the new multiples because the shades are mostly brownish/peachy/warm and don’t match the descriptions well. Catch Me will work for me though!

@Ispend2much6 , yeah what's up with the blush descriptions lately?!? When the multiples were re-released, even the shade sticker on the blushes didn't exactly match up, and I'm in store thinking .. That's not what I expected. 

I thought you liked the new formula for the powdered blushes??? What changed? 🫤 I remember you almost got a job at Ulta for it 😉Also for Mad Love, it's really sparkly.  I'm surprised that's not in the description.

@danielledanielle  I know! Madly and Never Enough are neither pink nor mauve!

I like the formula but not most of the shades. So far the only one that worked other than Catch Me is Thrill.

As far as more new shades, I have hope for Please Me, S* Fantasy, and Wild Bunch.

You know what surprised me though- I absolutely love the Kosas blush in Grazie. It has that light shimmer, but that shade is a cool berry on me!

S3x Fantasy is a pale lavender... Which I have hopes for you in that one @Ispend2much6 .  I actually like Mad Love and also Madly (I feel like the description was better for that one), just surprised by ML sparkles.  It's more of a blush lighter/radiance blush.  I think Please Me is sparkly, I think @greeneyedgirl107 picked it up, but it didn't work out.

A couple of late November orders that arrived in this month and a few several 😬 December sale purchases that I'm just getting around to unpacking/using.

Asian beauty haul - makeup

This was part of my Small Business Saturday shopping tour around the city. The Asian beauty boutique had some stocking issues because of weather delays so I placed an order with them after testing a few things in store, and picked them up when they arrived. They threw in the CLE Cosmetics Melting Lip Powder Set - I'm a fan of the brand's CCC cream and have used one of their lip powders before so it'll be great to have another opportunity to try them again (interestingly, the one I tried previously was also provided as gratis). 

Korean beauty haul - skincare - Ohlolly and Soko Glam

•  Dr. Ceuracle Hydra Barrier Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 50 (mineral filters) - I like several of their skincare products and was pleased to see they offered a mineral sunscreen. 
• haruharu wonder Black Bamboo Daily Smoothing Body Oil with Urea - another Korean skincare brand that has worked well for my skin. Tried a sample of this once, liked it and decided it was time for a full size.
• PINKWONDER Tamanu Hero Ampoule - Tamanu oil is supposed to be good for calming blemishes and I have some that could use calming so we'll see.
• PINKWONDER Jojoba Oil
• shaishaishai Banana Conceal Eye Cream
• by Knours. Koolsol Ultra Light Invisible Mineral Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 50

Fenty direct

• The vanilla flowers scent is lovely. Went with the trio set during one of the holiday sales. I no longer have a tub so the bubble bath will be gifted to someone who will be able to make better use of it.
• I picked up the Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Lil Butta Dropz Mini Whipped Oil Body Cream Duo with the intent to split the two body butters - one for me and the other wouuld be gifted to someone else. It's now one for me, and the other to be gifted ... to me. 😂
• Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Kabuki-Buff Foundation Brush 115 came at the recommendation of @danielledanielle - thank you! This looks like it's going to be good! Now I just need to decide which foundation to pair it with first. 🤔

Sephora (mix of sale hauls and in store purchases)

• MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Seal 0.4 oz/ 11 g came back in stock during the sale 🙌
• Decided I couldn't pass up the SEPHORA COLLECTION 8-Piece Pro Face and Eye Brush Set after seeing @missjeanie's haul. There's a couple of new-to-me brushes in the set but I spy some faves in here that I'm happy to have multiples of in my collection! This will be included in my first makeup capsule for 2026.
• SEPHORA COLLECTION Lip Tint Felt Lip Stain & Liner for science - have been waiting for these to become available so I can compare them to the Huda Beauty contour lip stains
• Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez Find Comfort Lip Butter Balm + Overnight Mask with Hyaluronic Acid Butte... was not a planned purchase. 
• Neither was PATRICK TA Major Moisture Smoothing and Hydrating Tinted Lip Balm with Vitamin E Espresso but a couple of folks I was with said "I'll get one if you get one" and well ... I was clearly easily swayed that day. 🙄

Sephora in-store

• Gucci Brume de Beauté Beauty Mist 2.7 oz / 80 mL is just one of those products I repurchase again and again. 😉 
• DIOR Lip Glow Oil Hydrating High-Shine Gloss 104 Black Cherry was not planned at all. I went into the store the Saturday after Christmas to get shade matched for a couple of base products and Vivian did a phenomenal job of doing just that - eyeballed it to a T without the use of the device 🙌 (I was super impressed because I knew the device would have suggested a shade that was off for that foundation, hence, why I went in store). We got to chatting about new releases and we somehow got to Dior's new releases and here we are. This is the glaze finish and it's wonderful; more pigmented than the original oil, which are a fave of mine. These and the other finish, are worth checking out, as are the new hair mists (though they are on the softer side and pricey too - they smell pretty, but they are pricey; it is Dior).

Yeah, I get that a no/low buy is going to be a challenge but it can be done (even if my list for 2026 is already longer than I planned, and it's only the 3rd!!). I am still going to keep my fingers crossed 🤞 that your store does stock these, so you can at least swatch them @missjeanie.

I was pleased with how pigmented they swatched in store but even more so when I applied this to my lips @danielledanielle. This is one pass of the wand, on one side and a little product from the other side of the wand to fill in some gaps. I love the original oils for what they were intended to be, a sheer wash of color. But, I'm very pleased with this new glaze finish - it's got the hydrating, moisturizing and shine properties of the lip oil but now with a good color payoff! Worth looking into on your next lunch and lux. 😉

Awww, thank you. Taking that Fenty pic reminded me of when I first tried taking photos of things for BIC - having to crouch down and maneuver myself into and out of awkward positions to accomodate tight quarters or lighting. 😅Yeah, I'm all set for winter and this'll be reminder that I don't need any more body care products for a while.

Everything looks wonderful, @itsfi! I’m a fan of Fenty Beauty and Sephora Collection brushes, too. My favorite highlighter brush is the Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Cheek-Hugging Highlight Brush 120 I actually just washed mine today.

Oh, that's good to know @curlychiquita. I like the look of the shape and angles on that brush. I've made a note of it for her next sale or if she has a gwp event that catches my eye. Might not be until spring though; trying to keep my purchases to a minimum for a bit.
