SEPHORA COLLECTION PRO Lip Brush #85 I wish this had a cap like it's predecessor, but I wanted a lip brush for lip contouring, I've been getting into that lately... definitely will be using this for combos for my Lips on Lock 🔐: List Your Lip Combos 💄👄 thread. 

Swatches for MBM are in The Deeper Hues Thread (Swatches, Color Matching, etc.) Ellis Brooklyn Queens Caramel.  I mean the name alone, IFYKYK, but it's good I got it in travel size.  Thoughts 👇🏽

It's powderific on spraying, like 🌬️💥, then it calms down... So yes, projection.  All the floral comes out first.  Right now, it's a very light and sweet caramel, but not very deep, if that makes sense.  Is it a dupe for #PHLUR Caramel Skin Body & Hair Fragrance Mist 8 oz spray? IMO, no.  Aside from the phlur like greeting, they are different.  Caramel skin to me is a more gourmand forward scent, with hint of coconut.  Queens Caramel isn't as straightforward as a gourmand, it's giving a little of it, like a quiet 👋🏽.  Could easily be a skin scent and layered.  I did not layer the two together, I was in a hurry, but likely will.

Mob Beauty x Monica

Color Theory Queen, Monica Ravichandran (AFKA glowbymonica) released a red lip with Mob Beauty, which is a "less saturated" red based on MAC's Russian Red, her mom's signature lip.  It's also for her wedding, and she cutely used her wedding invite style for the product card.

There's a lot of content+more backstory on this, so follow her if your interested.  I feel she's a solid social media follow, pretty honest and on point with trends.

She also paired a light brown liner with it and a blush for the release.

@danielledanielle  About those Makeup by Mario liquid shadows: do they dry down as quickly as a matte Colorfix? I kept forgetting to swatch them in-store. The Slate shade is lovely. 

I don’t follow Monica but she’s popped up in my Instagram and Youtube feeds. She’s a good example of how one needn’t have an art background to understand color theory. 👍 That MOB lipstick looks like a good red: neither too muted nor punchy, just a good solid pretty red.

@WinglessOne , a little longer than colorfix.  You know how colorfix behaves on a palette and it starts to have a putty quality when it's dry?  MBM feels like that, but it doesn't set as quick.  They play well with each other, this morning I used Danessa Myricks Beauty Colorfix - Multi-Use Eye, Cheek & Lip Waterproof Liquid Pigment Nude 6 as an eye primer and then went in with MBM espresso, both on the palette.  The colorfix set quickly.  (As it does).  Then I went in with the Mario, really nice and easily.  I used SEPHORA COLLECTION PRO Shadow Brush #15 with gentle pats.  I think I moved onto a different part of my face, just so I wouldn't look up and have it transfer, and it worked out well.  So let's say 45-60 seconds to start setting.

I know it's a more than minute because when I swatched in store, I messed up a swatch when I thought it was dry 😅

R/T Monica.  So true! Color theory is fun.  I don't have an art degree either, but I think I've gotten a better grasp of it through her and she validated a lot of what I was finding.
