@danielledanielle  Oooo good to know!! I’ll look into the smaller ones. I have very fine hair. I have the jumbo of the big rod but it is too big and my hair is too short to work. Maybe one day it will work tho! I thought the rods might give a different curl!

@ather  So I think my hair is about mid length.  It hits my collarbone at some points, so they can be used if your hair isn't super long. 👇🏽

@danielledanielle  Oooo these look so pretty! I also think the medusa look is amazing! My hair is straight/wavy and a little longer than yours. Maybe past my collar bone a few inches.

They should totally work for you! If you get them and find they slip, tie a silk scarf around the bottom of your head, a la Rosie the Riveter.

Sephora:

Picked up Witty when it first released and went the BOPIS (Buy Online, Pickup In Store) route when I found Poise and Hype last month at a store a few towns over. They had Ami Colé Desert Date Cream Blush & Lip Multistick Dune in stock and it's been one on my list since last year. 

Nordstrom: I didn't make any purchases on National Lipstick Day 😮 but I did pick up Prada Beauty Prada Monochrome Soft Matte Blur Lipstick B107 SEDONA  during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Also picked up the Christian Louboutin fragrance set, which will be broken up for smaller, individual gifts, but that arrived just the other day as there was a hiccup when they first sent it out. Used gift cards and Nordstrom notes for these.

One of the stores in the city finally showed these Danessa Myricks ColorFix Multi-Use Pigment Sticks in stock and I conveniently found myself in the area 😉, only to find out that they were not out on the floor. But, thanks to a couple of the fabulous beauties in store, I was able to get my hands on two more duos! And, swatches, too!

I am loving the DM colorfix stick @itsfi ! I picked up #8 . I definitely want more but I’ll probably wait until the next sale. How do you like them so far?

@faeriegirl, they're so good, right?! I'm still getting a handle on a couple of the foil shades but the metallic ones are all fab! Ooouh, Duo 8 is a beauty - the shift on the foil in that one is stunning. 100% agree with waiting for the next sale. Which other duo(s) are you thinking about getting?

Awww, thank you @PrettyPaint; that's so kind of you to say. I kept staring at the swatches and thinking, "which one should I get next?" 😂 That "one" turned into two additional duos. Hahaha! I'll hold for a bit before picking up more. Fall makeup comes out August, September, October so I want to pace myself and not pick up too much. Well, that's the plan at least.

@itsfi That's a good point. I feel like there are few Fall releases that I need to save up for.

@PrettyPaint, I tend to gravitte towards those collections a lot, those and what comes out for the holidays, but hoping to rein it in a smidge more than in previous years. May be hard though because there have been a lot of fabulous releases already this year.

Edited 8.13.2025 to add: oh my goodness, we're not even near the end of August and there have already been so many interesting release announced. If this speaks to what is to come, September is going to be rough keeping to a low(er) buy.
