@Kim888 I think they hold promise but I can see how they're easy to screw up. Have u tried any?
Sorry that the eyeliner kit didn’t work out for you @greeneyedgirl107.
@Loretta55 I need to play with the stamper more! Cynthielu gave me a great tip - hold it for longer. It worked!
I’m glad that the tip from @CynthieLu worked for you @greeneyedgirl107. Maybe I need to try that tip .
I'm sorry @greeneyedgirl107 that is a little bit splotchy, maybe hold it on gently for an extra second or two? It might leave a better mark?
The Brand I use is called The Flick Stick, very affordable on Amazon IMO
*it bled a bit into my dry wrist skin but that never happens on my face 😅*
@CynthieLu you had excellent advice about holding it on for longer. It worked! Thanks! I never would have thought of that. I need to get the Flick Stick because it seems like a less harsh wing than the Ulta. I haven't had much chance to play with it as I've been practicing free hand wings. I'll fill u in on that when I have the chance but let's say it's a work in progress. I know u asked me how it was going in another post, and if I hadn't been so darned busy I would gave relished the chance to post about it.
I picked up a stamper by Lottie London from Walmart. It's a little too big. For $5, tho, I was happy enough.
I need to check out the Kaja ones. And Ciate makes one, but I'd have to buy directly from the site. If it comes to that, I will.
@CynthieLu I'm all about researching stampers today! I saw that one on Amazon. Thanks so much for the pic and input! I'll be looking into this one some more. Any others that look good or ones to avoid?
I wish I could help there @greeneyedgirl107
My sister from Texas turned me onto it and it was the first and only I've tried. You have to stamp it gently but firmly *it takes some trial and error* and not blink or move your eye at all for a moment while it dries. Once you get the hang of it is much easier.
I think try shaking the one you have to help get the stamper more saturated, stamp it on your arm and see if it helped get the product out, maybe if that makes sense?
@CynthieLu all good info!!! I'm looking forward to experiencing with this little short cut. How many mm do you use?
Hum, @greeneyedgirl107 It dosen't seem to have it anywhere on the pens, I think this is the classic 10mm thou.
I use this or tape and eyeshadow to do my wings. Lots of practice and it does get easier I promise ❤️
@CynthieLu just knowing that I had your support really has kept me with it. Truly!!!
Thanks for looking into the size. That'll help with my stamper journey.
What eyeshadow and brush(es) do you use? I'm curious!
To do my eyeliner with eyeshadow is any eyeshadow I feel like 🙂 dark colors show up easier but you can even use a light or less intense shade, whatever you feel like. 😁 ( That's the joy eyeshadows 🌈)
There's alot of videos about using makeup tape for eyeliner, I think looking at a bunch and finding one you like will take a little time but there's so much good info out there on the you tube, just have to weed through it to find one that's good for you.
I use an angled brush and start at the end of the wing and than draw towards my eye. I go over it until I'm happy with the intensity and gently remove the tape.
That was a huge thing, drawing it backwards was so helpful for a smooth line for me. @greeneyedgirl107
SEPHORA COLLECTION PRO Eyeliner Brush #22 is an example of the brush type I use
@CynthieLu good info to know! I had a hard enough time finding a good brow brush that idk if I could find a good brush for wings. I know I'll have to explore that next! Thanks for the product tag, I added it to my loves. And I do have tape - I forgot about it!
It can been any angled brush @greeneyedgirl107 my favorite is an old e.l.f one that I can't find a replacement for whenever I check out thier counter in my local drug store. 😅
The sephora collection pro one is great and I like that one alot, but don't feel up need a pricey one, any one will do the job ❤️
The tape takes practice but it made it alot easier 🙂
@CynthieLu I use an elf one for my brows! I have back ups stashed somewhere, and then found that elf finally had more of the same so I bought even more. I use a MUFE for detail work.
I tried SC and IT for Ulta, ABH as well as Japonesque and some others...So I'm not looking forward to another brush journey. But I'll do it! Last time I started pricey. This time I might go the opposite route.
It's ironic how the tape can help but you have to learn how to do it before you can optimize it. Idk if that makes sense how I worded it. I'm tired!
A few things gathered over the past week.
Pikachu cleansing oil! I couldn’t resist. It’s so cute and nostalgic.
The bunny hand cream and Byoma face most are for work. The hand cream is yuzu scented, but nice and moisturizing. I’m have to wash my hands frequently, so I need something to help keep them from drying out. I’ve been using the face mist to refresh my skin and layering SEPHORA COLLECTION All Day Hyaluronic Acid Hydrator Moisturizer on top. The school I’m working at right now is older and really dry inside. I thought about bringing a small personal humidifier for the dryness but I move around too much during the day to be able to sit by it and let it work it’s magic. This mini routine has been working well for me.
I really like the Byoma cleanser! It’s very gentle and doesn’t leave my skin feeling stripped down. I found it at my local drugstore along with the face mist. (Shoppers Drug Mart for us Canadians)
The Soon Jung moisturizer is to replace my current tube that’s getting close to empty.
Thank you @faeriegirl! They’ve all been really great so far. 😊
