Advent Calendars 2024 - Let the Unboxings Begin!!

The holiday countdown has begun!! 🎁  Please share your advent calendar unboxings. 😍

Whether you open all the doors to your calendar at once, or whether you open a box one day at time and follow the traditional schedule (e.g., 24 day unboxing beginning on 12/1 and 12-day calendar unboxing beginning 12/25).

For those of us who just can't wait to see what goodies are in our advent calendars and are opening all the doors/boxes at once before the end of the season, please consider hiding your unboxing post behind a spoiler tab so those who want to be surprised day by day can still do so.

Diptqyue Day 2 (late posting)

It's only been in the last few years that I've acquired an appreciation for rose scents. One of those I really enjoy is Diptyque L'Eau Rose so I was very happy to see this travel sized spray in this year's Advent Calendar. To me, one of the ways this stands out from other rose fragrances is that I can pick up every part of the rose in this perfume - from the soft, fresh, velvety petals to the green, earthiness of the stem. A classic Diptyque fragrance and one of my many favorites from the house.

@itsfi This sounds interesting. I can understand the appreciation for rose scents. I couldn't stand them for the longest time, until I recovered from long covid now I don't mind it lol.

@itsfi  Awww this scent sounds perfect! My mom had a rose garden growing up and the thought of this brings me back to my teen years!

Ahhh, that's amazing @ather. I love rose gardens and I love how fragrance can transport us back in time, to memories.

@peculiarzmakeup, it's been a great box so far and I'm happy about that. But, can I share something with you? I think part of me is really interested in going through this particular advent calendar so I will have the empty box to reuse. 😂🤣😂 I have no idea what I will keep in the numbered compartments, but this box is too cute and too fun to not keep and find a way to repurpose it! 😍

I love that, maybe the box is the bonus day, as if it were February and it was a leap year, it’s the added bonus! That’s so neat it’s very decorative and unique I think there’s something so special about all the thoughts that go into designing these I’m excited for you to be able to have the box after unboxing yay! 🙂 @itsfi

@peculiarzmakeup, ahhh, I like that - a bonus day! 😍 The box really is a treat on its own. They paired with designer Lucy Sparrow for the design of the box and some other pretties for their holiday collection.

@blackkitty2014, I've held off on picking up an advent calendar from them for yeeeeaaaars and now I'm thinking "why did you do that?" This has been a lot of fun so far, and we're just on Day 2. 🤞🤞 the goodness continues!

@itsfi  I personally love rose scents, many of my favorite fragrances are rose-centric, and this one sounds absolutely lovely! Would love to smell it one of these days! Glad you are happy with this unboxing! 😊

Ohhh, do tell @caitbird, what are some of your most loved rose fragrances? I'm very interested (ignore the "no, she is not" remark from my wallet in the background. 😅  I really enjoy rose fragrances now - I think I just needed to find the rose scents that suited me.

@itsfi  some rose fragrances I have and enjoy are By Rosie Jane Rosie Perfume (won't let me tag it for some reason?), Parfums de Marly Delina and Delina La Rosee, NEST New York Lychee Rose Eau de Parfum 1.7 oz / 50 mL eau de parfum spray  and then there are a few others in my stash I still have to try. I am lowkey trying to sample as many rose perfumes as I can 😅 I love how they are all different!

Ooooh, the Parfums de Marly are beautiful @caitbird. I have one of the Delina fragrances but can't seem to recall which one (I think it is just the one I have 😲😄). The bottle on the Delina's are so pretty.

I fully support your sampling as many rose fragrances as you can - just me but no need to low key that at all! You're super busy but if/when you have the time and if you're interested, would love to hear your thoughts on the ones you've sampled - Fragrance Junkie Central is a good rabbit hole to go down.
