Citrusy fragrance that doesn’t attract mosquitoes?

Hi,

I am traveling to India and everyone is warning me of mosquitoes. I usually wear Chanel no 5 but I read that mosquitos love it, and that fragrances with citrus and lavender tones are less likely to attract mosquitoes.

What are your recommendations for citrusy perfumes?

@MarwaMo I recommend Maison Margiela 'REPLICA' Under the Lemon Trees Travel Spray 0.34oz/ 10mL Eau de Toilette Travel Spray   It has a nice lemony scent.  I live in Florida where the mosquitos will eat you alive if you wear the wrong stuff or leave your skin exposed.  I haven't had a problem with  mosquitos being attracted to me while wearing this scent.  Good luck with your search and enjoy your trip!

@MarwaMo can't help with perfume, but maybe try adding a mosquito repellent wristband to your shopping list before you go?

Definitely, that’s the plan. I just don’t want to smell like mosquito repellent but also don’t want use a perfume that would counteract the repellent. I read that citrus and lavender would be my best bet.

@MarwaMo You could try Maison Louis Marie No.04 Bois de Balincourt Eau de Parfum Travel Spray 0.34 / 10  . It has Cedarwood and cinnamon which repel mosquitoes. I don’t know if it’s a very summery fragrance but it’s an option. You could also just buy some essential oils and make a blend to wear on your pulse points during your trip.
