blending & cut crease help ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ

hello! iโ€™m seeking tips & suggestions to improve my eye makeup game. iโ€™ve noticed that although my blending has improved it still has a long way to go. Also, with cut creases & eyeliner iโ€™m still struggling. iโ€™ve noticed recently that anytime I do any look, when my eye is open my lid is really small, especially if iโ€™m smiling. itโ€™s not completely gone but definitely anything i do there kind of gets lost. especially if I add eyeliner! finally iโ€™ve noticed that my eye shadow gets patchy towards the outer part of my crease. Iโ€™ve tried multiple types of bases & concealers but itโ€™s still the same. any tips & suggestions on how to make my eye lid pop & how to better blend would be appreciated ! thank you ! hereโ€™s a pic of what I did last night...it was supposed to be a cut crease but yea this happened instead.

@Radiant10 - You're eye look is awesome!

For me, I use Too Faced Shadow Insurance from lashine to brow bone, then a nude eye shadow from lashine to brow bone, finally a dark color in my crease (really it's just above my crease so it doesn't get on my lid).

My fav concealer for the cut crease is from kat von D .... lock it concealer!

A beautiful look @Radiant10! For cut creases are you applying a base like a concealer before you apply the actual shade? I personally have found that the NARS Soft Matte Complete Full Coverage Longwear Concealer with Hyaluronic Acid Biscuitis great for helping me cut my crease! This also helps the shadow you apply pop more as the concealer as your base. I also recommend applying the shade with your finger or spritz your brush with a setting spray to ensure it pops! ๐Ÿ™‚

Do you have hooded lids by any chance? I personally do and my eyeliner + shadow can get lost and unseen when I open my eyes. Because of this, I tend to cut my crease a little higher so this ensures that even when my eyes are open you can still see my look! I also found that my shadow can get patchy if I don't set it with a translucent powder or shadow that is close to skin-tone. Setting the base will ensure that everything is set and won't look patchy! ๐Ÿ™‚

Back in October I switched over to the Nars concealer mentioned here. My cut crease has improved drastically. I recommend using a darker shade directly in the crease before cutting it to add in some shading that enhances the look of the shadow chosen to go on the eyelid.
