Re: What is better? Plucking, Threading or Waxing your eyebrows?

I agree with most of the pros/cons of geeklychic519. The redness, I hope she is talking about with waxing/threading isn't permanent. It goes away quickly. But I have had technicians draw blood with both waxing & threading. Threading lasts me the longest about 2 weeks before I start seeing little hair growth. If you do threading keep a good cover on your eyelashes I had them get it hit & they took a little of the tops accidentally. (My lashes are long though) dont be afraid to tell them what you want/don't want. Good luck!

RE: What is better? Plucking, Threading or Waxing your eyebrows?

Plucking: Pros -You’ll know when you get every hair (if it’s out of your skin) - It can be quick Cons - It can take a long time - It can cause redness Threading: Pros - It’s quick - It gets every hair Cons - It can drastically mess up your eyebrows - It can also cause redness Waxing: Pros - It’s easiest (in my opinion) - It’s quickest (usually) Cons - It hurts (if your not used to it) - Can cause redness (like the rest of them) In my opinion, plucking is most convenient and cheapest, and I have heard that you should always go get your brows done instead of doing them yourselves, so it also depends on budget (if you have one).

Agree with all said, in addition to that: waxing removes not only hair, but also parts of the epidermis, which can cause the loss of skin elasticity long term and some infections short term. Better get the eyebrows done, sure, if there is someone who can do it. In Chicago finding someone who has the magical ability to do what is asked is a mission impossible.

I say Threading, it's a bit painful but at the end it's worth it, I stop waxing my brows because the reason why it gets red around our brows after waxing it's cause a layer of skin is removed.
