Wet brush vs. Dry Brush

Who else swears by a wet brush to enhance any shimmery eyeshadow to lookmore metallic. I love using a wet brush with my single shadow, Baked, by Urban Decay. Note: I do use Urban Decays original eye primer potion as my base. I used smashbox moisturizer and primer to wet my brush. I think this eyeshadow is so much more beautiful with a wet brush for application! What shadows do you love using a wet brush with? Do you avoid a wet brush? Who didn't know this fun little trick? When did you learn the difference between a wet and dry brush? ❤ I love hearing all of your experiences.

RE: Wet brush vs. Dry Brush

I have personally never used a wet brush but now I’m considering it 🤔 thank you!

I could not agree with you more! I strictly use Bare Minerals powder eye shadows & using a wet brush makes all the difference in the world! First of all it makes the colors so much more defined! Brighter/colorful! Second, they stay on a whole lot longer! I also have an older product by Bare Minerals that is a liquid for their eye shadows that works just as well as water but it stays on better! Not sure if they still make it but it’s great! I use it sparingly!

I do the same when I want shadow to pop - NYE! I use saline solution to dampen eyelid and apply it with a soaked brush, then dab the brush on paper towel so it is just a bit damp on shadow and it stays all day and really pops!
