Waterproof Mascara

Curious to know if anyone has any suggestions on a water and oil proof mascara suggestion? I used to use the Diorshow and really love how it enlarged my eyes and was water and oil proof but it no longer works for me (I often have raccoon eyes now). Used Kiss Me mascara, which was great for not giving me the raccoon eyes but it was too hard to take off. Would love to hear some suggestion...

Re: Waterproof Mascara

I tried tubing mascara and find them very difficult to take off... which caused me to pull off my eyelashes than I would like when I remove the mascara. But maybe I'll try the ones suggested and see. Thanks!

Re: Waterproof Mascara

Ok @JJLau. I think you're removing it incorrectly. Do NOT use makeup remover to take it off. It doesn't work. Splash your eyes liberally with warm water several times to soften the mascara. Then using a gentle pressure wipe the tubes down and away from your lashes. I use the side of my finger to get all my lashes at once. You will see things that look like spider legs in your sink. Don't freak!  They're not spider legs and they're not your lashes either!  It's just the tubes that have slipped off. You can use a micrellar water after or just wash your face or cleanse however. But tubing mascaras really are super easy to remove - if you know how!

RE: Waterproof Mascara

Have you tried a tubing mascara? Blinc makes a great one that's at Sephora. It stays on really well and comes off with warm water and pressure.

Re: RE: Waterproof Mascara

Yes, yes, yes! @Anonymous @JJLau!  Kevyn Aucoin makes another tubing mascara - curling mascara - that Sephora carries. Aucoin builds volume better but Blinc is more water resistant.

Re: RE: Waterproof Mascara

Have you tried Surratt's tubing mascara @jozkid? I know we talked tubing mascaras awhile back 🙂 A makeup artist used it recently when I had my makeup done at Sephora and I liked it but did not purchase at the time.

Re: RE: Waterproof Mascara

I have not @blueviolet21!  That's good to know.  I like to know what's available out there. How does it stack up to others you've tried?

Re: RE: Waterproof Mascara

It's more along the lines of the KA/Trish mascaras-- more volumizing than Blinc but doesn't last as well. It made my lashes look nice and fluffy though! @jozkid

Re: RE: Waterproof Mascara

Oooh!  Sounds interesting. I will have to check it out. I usually get the Trish during Nordie's Mascara Madness. I wonder if they have Surratt? Hmmmm
